Vic, love the new videos, and saw a couple of things I need to change when I run BMD. Also, I bought blog comment demon today, and it is awesome. This for the great tips.

You are welcome buddy man I also love comment demon I have not talked about it much because I know many folks here are really struggling with cash and that is one of those tools that I just love but at the end of the day you can still do a d-list run and get comments but man talk about getting related post with the keywords you need LMAO ;)

Vic: Excellent vid. I just got BMD so this is perfect timing. I still have questions believe it or not. So for each legit run you create new accounts and bookmark one single page of one of your domains? And that one page is hidden among 5 other non competing domains. Presumably you could put a page from one or more of your other domains as well in the run. Then after the run, do you discard those accounts and create new ones (from your same IP) from scratch for every new run? Isn’t that a lot of accounts from the same IP? Is bookmarking more than one page from one of your sites on the same account a big no no? I would think it wouldn’t be too big a deal as longs as its hidden among other links. This would be kind of natural looking right?

    Thanks Vic.

    1. Vic on 16.04.2008 at 01:15 (Reply)

Yes this is why I say to make sure you also make hub pages and squidoo pages you need to bookmark other pages might as well be yours.

  4. Niche Blogging on 16.04.2008 at 00:55 (Reply)

    Vic,

You mentioned in this video that you put 5 URLS, mixed up with 1 original targeted URL per run. Is there anything to look out for, or how many times should you run one set of logins per day?

Also, a list of which sites you need to manually set to be public would be great! I don’t see hardly any backlinks from any of my BMD runs, and I have been using it for 4 months. Should I manually log in to each account and check things?

What do you think of having one master “Delicious” file and uploading that to each site to start off with?

    1. Vic on 16.04.2008 at 01:10 (Reply)

Delicious catches that very very fast. Also remember links can take months and months to be counted there are many many things that are taken ionto consideration example site authority with BU right now I get instant indexing on anything I post example this post is really worthless for Google but because it considers the site an authority site it gives it instant indexing same thing with inlinks so if you want to put BU in SEOElite and do a full inllnk check and you will see my BMD runs on this site ;) This fits in my dwell on what is important and do not dwell on what is not Google will count them when they feel like it if they feel that the sites does not deserve to see get the links for a year then it will be a year.

I do not understand your question on the accounts you should never use an account more then once. If not all your accounts will have the same links if you have been doing this go check and make sure you have not had a site banned yet just in case.

      1. Elliott on 16.04.2008 at 10:46 (Reply)

Ok, so with the accounts, if I make a new account run with BMD for regular sites, not scuttles, then I should only use that account once per site? Like, I have an account named “Joe”. I put about 15 links in it, lets say 5 from my sites, and then 10 from generic sites like Google, Firefox, NFL, etc.

Is that right? make one run with that account and then dump it? Don’t use it anymore?

Cause, shit, if thats the case it would explain why nothing is showing up because I have been using each account for numerous runs…crap…

    2. Vic on 16.04.2008 at 01:14 (Reply)

What a dick I just notocid the add kicked in in the middle of the comment. Like this post it is worthless for Google no real traffic for BookMarking Demon yet because Google considers BU an authority site and it is not a competitive term I got it got indexed in 5 minutes after posting.

I also automatically got position one on Bookmarking Demon Video Tutorial which for this comment I did the unthinkable and went and did a quick look at the sats so for this post I have had 5 uniques on that term now if I do a BMD run on this post the links will be counted pretty quick.

      1. Thom on 16.04.2008 at 02:00 (Reply)

OMG Vic! You did what? LMAO

  5. YC on 16.04.2008 at 02:51 (Reply)

Fuck vic if you did this vid 3 months back I would have gotten more links counted… some shit I didn’t know about like turning profiles to public I thought they automatically made it private if they think you’re spamming. I also normally spaced out different runs on one site over a few days to avoid easy detection but you did it all in one shot.

But anyway I hope I’ve made it up with quantity. Did shit loads of runs. And that’s not just crap…

    1. Vic on 16.04.2008 at 04:52 (Reply)

Some times man I wished I done shit way back then I am glad you started now right though ;)

  6. Lance on 16.04.2008 at 02:56 (Reply)

Yo Vic, I found the way to clear everything in the scuttle screen without pressing the delete button. You need to press two buttons.

Press the [clear credentials] button and then press the [Remove Empty] button.

    Bomb! All gone :)

    1. Vic on 16.04.2008 at 04:55 (Reply)

Lance thanks man shit see all of us together do way more then one alone ;)

    Hey Vic,
    Nice vids,
I picked up a tip on the BANS vid that I’d like to point out to others. At first I shortened the amount of results per page to 15 as I thought it made for a nicer looking page (running an open store I’m always keeping an eye on aesthetics).
    - Folks this is bad. more products per page means more content for Google to absorb. My standard is now 30, thanks.

One question (one and a half actually). I own BMD and use the free directory submitter as well as a free comment search/submitter. I have $100 to invest - what should my next investment be? My guess is that you’ll say Article Submitter?? The half question is ‘have you tried Instant Article Wizard’ or do you write articles from scratch even on topics with which you are unfamiliar?

    1. Investing for beginners on 16.04.2008 at 04:26 (Reply)

I actually bought Article Submitter platinum for $97. But to be totally honest, I’m having problems with it. Maybe I’m a total bonehead. My issue is that all those HTML sites can’t be submitted automatically - and the whole point is so you can get your links into these sites and save time doing it.

There are a multitude of quirks about Article Submitter that tick me off… like the time it takes to load the article. You think it’s not working so you start typing and then bang, it loads for you but it loads the incorrect boxes. You try to fix it but the bottom frame doesn’t allow for pop ups so therefore, you can’t correct the issue in the pop up dialog boxes. Unless Vic wants to do a tutorial on Article Submitter, I’d save the $97 and use the free one because without the automatic submission to HTML sites, it crippled its effectiveness.

      1. Vic on 16.04.2008 at 04:54 (Reply)

I will do also a tutorial on all the tools to make sure you are using it as best as you can ;)

        1. Bruce Hollingdrake - Book Guy on 16.04.2008 at 13:37 (Reply)

          Hey Vic,

I’ve got about 28 BANS sites up and running. Some still need some tuning (need to add a few store pages to some and write a little content). About 4 of them are pre-owned. I do 5 or 6 .info then look around for a older .com.
Any opinions (from anybody here) on Instant Article Wizard?

    2. Vic on 16.04.2008 at 04:54 (Reply)

How many domains do you have it might be time to get some pre-owned domains before any more tools.

  8. Scott on 16.04.2008 at 03:30 (Reply)

    Awesome bro.

I’m gonna have to re-download it. It’s been a long time since I’ve used it..this was a great re-fresher video.

Man still use it everyday money tool ;) Make sure you upgrade ;)

  9. Nick on 16.04.2008 at 06:06 (Reply)

    Vic,
I thought I posted this earlier, I must have been imagining things. Gotta question though, would it be possible for me and a partner to split on the files for this and each set up a site, or do you gotta buy it fresh each time?

    1. Vic on 16.04.2008 at 07:40 (Reply)

Well it is supposed to be for one person as many sites that that person has but you may do a joint thing but when you make good cash get the other license and support BANS ;)

  10. Nick on 16.04.2008 at 06:10 (Reply)

oh whoops scratch that last post vic, sorry… im in the wrong post…

  11. Wayne on 16.04.2008 at 06:14 (Reply)

Which real sites do you have to go in and make public???

    1. Vic on 16.04.2008 at 07:44 (Reply)

      What do you mean?

      1. Wayne on 16.04.2008 at 15:14 (Reply)

You mentioned that for a couple of the real bookmarking sites you have to go back in and make your links public. But you didn’t mention which ones. At about 7:30 into it. You mentioned that mr wong you have to go back in, but are there others?

  12. chriss on 16.04.2008 at 09:00 (Reply)

    BMD kicks ass.

  13. James on 16.04.2008 at 09:34 (Reply)

Mkay, I’m still confused about legit sites. I’m not sure should I be more aggressive or more careful. The thing is, my experience with legit sites is different.

What I did before I bought BMD was going to all legit sites and get my URLs there manually (with socialposter.com) I didn’t hide them because it was time consuming. I posted URLs from my 5 different websites, every day 2 URLs from 2 of my different websites. My ass wasn’t banned, except from Shoutwire, and I still do it.

Are you telling us we can actually post more then one URL from our website daily if we put some more URLs like CNN, Yahoo News or NFL.com with them?

    1. Vic on 16.04.2008 at 16:10 (Reply)

Yeah you can just hide with other links and also do runs with only one links and 4 or 5 other lkinks to sice spice it up ;)

  14. DennisJr on 16.04.2008 at 13:32 (Reply)

    Vic,
Simply fabulous!. I can’t wait until I get back from my trip to start putting some of these to work. The funny thing is I had BMD some time ago.. I just didn’t know how I could use it in a legit way.. LOL. Thanks.. great vid..

    1. Vic on 16.04.2008 at 16:11 (Reply)

BMD is really grey tool and even on real legit sites you can use and not gert in trouble used properly ;)

  15. Steve K on 16.04.2008 at 14:20 (Reply)

    Hey Vic,
Haven’t had time to watch the new videos, or a lot of the old ones yet, dealing with a death in the family, so I apolgize if you’ve answered this question somewhere already. Wanted to ask before I forget.

Does google count backlinks by site or by links. In other words if I find a forum for example where I can put a anchor text link should I post one and move on or is it worth the time to work a few in different threads? Will google count 5 hubpages with the same anchor text link on them 5 times or only once cause its in the hubpages domain?

    Thanks!
    Steve K

  16. suppose I have a site with with 1 home page and 10 product pages.

do i run scuttle once with 11 links or 11 times with 1 link?

its taking a really long time to register the scuttle sites. Do I need to save this info anywhere?

  17. Bill on 04.05.2008 at 21:58 (Reply)

Anyone know how long it should take before Yahoo will pick up these links and start displaying them in Site Explorer?

hey Vic, I gave in and decided I couldn’t wait any longer and bought Bookmarking Demon. Thank you so much for the video explaining how to do it. I’ve already got the hang of it and am moving along easily.

Everyone: I’ve found that using the websites from other commenter’s here to be a great way to hide my links on the real social sites. Gets a little link love for them and keeps me from having to search for other links to post in between my own links.

  19. 1oz gold coins on 16.05.2008 at 05:47 (Reply)

    Hi Vic

one of my sites has managed to get 470 backlinks indexed (combo of my flagship site link, BMD and comments) - it averaging about $50/mo.

unfortunately the rest are seeing little to no traffic :-(

  20. DennisJr on 22.05.2008 at 14:29 (Reply)

One question for vic or anyone for that matter. With BMD, are you guys creating a new email address for each driver (social bookmarking)run or are you using new account names with various email address?? I know it doesn’t matter with scuttle but does it matter with soc bk marking?

I have been creating new email address and account name with each run. I want to make sure I am not being redundant. Thanks

BTW.. I love the vid tutorials.

    1. Vic on 22.05.2008 at 14:49 (Reply)

You need new emails for each run otherwise you will not get new account creations nof for scuttle just write any email you really do not have to have it for real as scuttles do not verify email but for legit sites I make gmail accounts once I verify I never use them again.

  21. scott on 27.05.2008 at 17:04 (Reply)

    Vic,

I have 50 BANS sites - For a scuttle run should I run all 50 home pages in one run? Then run 50 product pages in second run and so on. For each run do I need to register a new account?

For a Legit site run for 50 sites should I break the runs down into 10 or 15 of my URLS mixed with 5 other URLs per each of mine? Then each run register a new account with a new email?

    Thanks

    1. YC on 27.05.2008 at 23:31 (Reply)

Scott, only -one- site of -your own- per BMD run, whether legit or scuttle. And preferably not too many URLs from that one site. You do not want it to be too obvious.

For scuttle runs, no need to ‘hide’ your URLs in each run. So each scuttle run can be simply your own sites’ URLs.

For legit runs, for every URL from your site, include about 3-5 URLs from other sites (e.g. news sites etc) that are not in competition with yours. So let’s say you have 3 URLs of your own for a legit run, include at least 9-15 URLs from other sites and submit them together.

Use a new account for each and every run.

Hope that makes it clearer. Good luck.

      1. scott on 28.05.2008 at 02:41 (Reply)

        YC,

Thanks for the reply! Much appreciate the straight answer.

How often for each of my sites should I run BMD? How many bookmarks/links for each site should I be shooting for?

        Thanks

  22. paison on 27.05.2008 at 19:43 (Reply)

Scott, did you actually watch the video? Did you see anywhere to do 50 urls a scuttle run, or 10-15 per legit run?
Maybe you should look again, just a suggestion :P

    1. scott on 27.05.2008 at 21:09 (Reply)

Paison, Yes I watched the video several times and it was not clear to me how many target URL’s to run per run and it still isn’t?

At 6:46 (scuttle run)in the video Vic states that normally he would do all the links at one time and do a run. What links is he referring to?

At 8:15 in the vid Vic makes reference that during the Legit run portion that he runs 120 URLS total at a ratio of 5 other URLs to his one target URL to hide the target. This sounds as though he’s running multiple target url’s?

I’m new using BMD, I wouldn’t come here asking questions and wasting people’s time if I hadn’t watched the video many times!

      Thanks in advance,
      Scott

      1. kinsey on 09.06.2008 at 18:41 (Reply)

I’m with Scott. It does become unclear about what links he is referring to - becuase there are links all over the place. Especially when you are new. I watched it over and over and even transcribed it. I will go read other posts and vids to see if it becomes clearer.

        1. scott on 09.06.2008 at 18:50 (Reply)

          kinsey,

Did you YC’s reply to me? It made it pretty and I have scuttled all 100 of my sites with no problems. Let me know if you still have question and maybe I can help the technical side.

          Scott

          1. kinsey on 10.06.2008 at 04:10 (Reply) (Comments won't nest below this level)

there are 2 things I am not clear about. I don’t know if it’s here specifically, or somewhere else - but i have heard Vic mention saving the “run” or accounts to reuse later. do you know which ones he meant? scuttle or real?

need clarity about how many URLs during a scuttle. I heard one URL per run throughout the whole video. I assumed it was page. Right at the end he says you’d have the index plus two other pages. So i guess more than one page is ok. Which is kind of what YC says…

“Scott, only -one- site of -your own- per BMD run, whether legit or scuttle. And preferably not too many URLs from that one site. You do not want it to be too obvious.”

so that means you can have multiple pages coming from one site then bookmarked on the same run for scuttles. But not legit runs…these just get one page?

thanks Scott - so many details

  23. paison on 28.05.2008 at 02:43 (Reply)

I think YC described the process well. To insert urls from other sites you might find this utility useful:

I am rather new to BMD. I did a normal run as described in the video. My backlinks that show up in SEO Elite show up as NA. What did I do wrong when I did my BMD run. Also, I can not set MR. Wong bookmarks to public. Just won’t let me. Anyone know what’s up with that?

    Thanks!

    really stupid question:

does it make a difference if I use a “|” or a “,” to separate two keywords?

  27. Bcarter on 03.09.2008 at 12:25 (Reply)

I have only commented one other time before this, but I’ve been an avid subscriber of yours for a long time. I watched this video before purchasing BMD and I’m sure you can guess that it didn’t make sense.

This totally makes sense now and I really appreciate your effort in making this video.

On another note, I am really looking forward to the academy.
