So please we need your support. Please verify all of your submissions that their are no weird characters in the process of restoring the data some of it got a bit crazy so we have some submissions with weird characters. If you find one of your submissions with problems please contact me via IM at Blogging Zoom to get it fixed.
I upgraded the submission form to have WYSIWYG functionality but this is a huge step which I debated if to give the option. The main problem with this is the famous COPY PASTE some people do. If they do the copy paste they will copy html from their site and inserted on the submission causing problems to the hole page. Please if you see a submission that is copy paste reported to me via the IM at Blogging Zoom we need to take a hold on this situation, unfortunately some people are still doing it and it is hurting the whole site those that can not comply will be banned.
Now please we would love to hear your thoughts on the design if you liked it or now. Also please give us your thoughts on the new ZOOMING button if you liked it and it fits well with your themes color we tried to go with colors that would blend with every theme it is also a png clear background so even on dark color themes it should blend.
Now this type of post will be starting to be made on the BZ blog unfortunately Court and me for time reasons have been using our sites to give BZ news this will be stopped as we need all the information at the hands of every BZ user especially the new one.
We are still debating if incorporating a chat room and I also have the option of adding a real time IM using Google Gtalk here is the link so you can test it out and tell me if this is something you would like to keep, also please tell me if you would find an Ajax chat room a benefit to the community.
This part is the one I know you will like besides helping us with your thoughts on the design and new Zoom button, please tell us what features you would like to see at Blogging Zoom we are open to anything that is of benefit.
Again we would like to say thank you to all of you that have supported it Blogging Zoom especially on this last few days which have been a total nightmare.

You guys are fantastic. I don’t know how you managed with the outage AND brought out a new platform. It looks great and I’ll be going through the features to give feedback. Logo button looks excellent.

LMAO I am so happy people liked it my wife hated it LOL but Court and me wanted to really do something different and when the new logo comes it will tie it in better.

Tried the contact form at BZ, but it’s not working yet.
I still get the same error message whenever I try submitting articles from Blog Gigs.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function logspam() in /home/blogging/public_html/libs/link.php on line 889
It works for my niche sites though as it went through without a problem last night. So I am quite certain it is only Blog Gigs that is giving me the problem. I tried submitting my latest post just now,

It did not go through.
COsta it has to do with your URL in the next week we should have the full upgrade and one of the things we will have is a new link verifier by Askimet so hopefully this will resolve the issue.
Everything looks awesome to me, and I notice the Live page seems fixed and now posts once again show the correct time they were added, not just “a few seconds ago” like had been happening for a few weeks now.

Thanks Mike we are trying to make sure all is fixed and upgraded it should be done in a week or so.
Quotation marks in titles (which I use for titles of movies) didn’t transfer over so well. They come out as some weird characters. Not sure if that can be fixed or it’ll have to be done manually. I have quite a few, but I can fix them manually a few at a time if need be. Everything else seems to be working pretty well. Everything I’ve noticed that wasn’t working is now functioning properly. You guys have done an incredible job of getting the show back up and running.
Jason yeah this happened with the restore they will have to be fixed manually. Is it still happening when you submit?
No, it doesn’t happen when I submit. Just the ones that were already submitted.
Happened on mine too…I’ve started using single quotes instead of two, and those seemed to have transferred over well, just not the double-quotes.

You are doing a great job and I appreciate you and Court’s hard ass work. I don’t know where you guys get the energy. Site looks great and I hope you work all the little kinks out quickly.
You folks provide us the energy with the support all of you give us we could not do it any other way.

When you view my submitted history, and want to go to page 2, you get a funky URL that doesn’t work:

Unlike the original one:
/user?login=mikeo75&view=history
Mike it did not happen to me I got http://bloggingzoom.com/user/p.....ry/mikeo75
I will monitor to see if it pops up again or could it be browser related.
When I click to see page 2 of my Submitted Articles I get a 404 error. The url is user/page/2//jclark88history - Same as what Mike got.
Yeah it is not happening to me what I will do is I will let you guys know when the full upgrade is done to see if the upgrade corrected the url problem if not then we will address it

I just looked at BZ and the “About Us, Contact Us, FAQ” buttons at the upper right give me a 404 page when clicked on.

Vic, I just LOVE the new BZ design and button. BZ is already different from lots of other sites like it, but this just makes it “pop”, if you know what I’m saying. The color scheme is brilliant and refreshing.

Thanks for all the tireless work that you guys have put in.
The only thing I’m not sure about so far is the button. It is hard for me to zoom an article with the small area to select it. I know the top part of the button takes you to the post, but it would be nice if the whole button “zoomed”.
Other than that, rock on, the new design looks great, and can’t wait to see the post about how you and Court tracked down that asshole that caused all of this!
Thanks Elliot mm one thing though the button actually has more space then a Digg button so I might be a bit confused LMAO.
We look forward once all is done and fix to go after the assholes.
Great job once again Vic and Court - the new design looks cool except for the present logo I really hope it’s just a temporary one Vic cos it reminds me of strip joints…

Thanks yeah the logo is horrible LMAO but the designer had told us from jump street that he did not do logos so we hired a logo design firm to do that we are still in the revision stage but hope by the 1st you folks will see the new logo.
Just a hint though look at the new Favico and it gives you a peek at where we are going with the logo.
The upgrade is wonderful and I love the button - it really stands out on my posts on all my blogs whatever the theme, so you got it spot on!
You and court have worked hard and it’s appreciated big time. Hey, talk about work, now you can say WMAO!!! hahahaha!!

Vic my post about links doesn’t seem to be working right with BZ , but damn that may be on my end, the button is fine, although I honestly had a little rocket taking off in my mind when I was thinking of Zooming,lol, hang int there boss

but we decided to go with another route with the button we actually where making it into a rocket but then decided we needed to make a bit more serious you folks will be having more button choices in the next few days.
Hey, everything’s looking great at the moment..
Though, I’d want to bring your attention to something.
You see, before, I had my permalinks set to ../categories/post title. Now I changed it to only be the post title. There’s a problem with blogging zoom on this I just realized.
You cant actually change the link
So my zooms that link to the old page are now literally useless. Anyway, to go around about that?

Jasa that really sucks just go back to each individual submission and change the URL when I catch bad URLs I fix them but right now we are slammed.

As you know, I also love your new look, it looks kind of sexy if I may say so.
But I still don’t like the button and it seems I’m the only one. LOL, I will get over it and in time even the “horse” medal might grow on me too.
But seriously, you guys should be commended for the update in a difficult time!
