Proper Keyword Selection

by Vic on March 22, 2008

Keyword optimization involves proper keyword selection and placement based upon comprehensive keyword research. Many website owners get frustrated with search engine marketing due to poor results. The biggest search engine marketing mistake is made right from the start. That optimization mistake choosing the wrong target keywords or key phrases. This also greatly affect both CTR and over all CVR.

Vic, You are really on a roll with these videos. Keep it up I love it. I was just going to start a new (old) domain I had laying around for a new Adsense site. I wasn't sure how I was going to set this up for Adsense and get traffic but choosing less searched keywords might help with my CTR. The site was a PR3 earlier in the year but due to finances I had to put it back on the shelf. Did not know how to put multiple domains on the same host. Must say that I am definitely getting more mileage out of one Hostgator account instead of having a new account for each domain.

The important thing is what ever you have set something up you can always make adjustments later but till then you are aging the post and domain.

    Vic,

I am here everyday now checking your vids out. I am so grateful to you for so selflessly giving us your expert advice for FREE.

I'm going to do a post on you on one of my (crappy) blogs. Let me tell you one thing: I was like the rest of the noobs doing MMO blogs and you are so right. There's no money in them!

So now I am seriously researching local niches and I can see what you mean. The adsense you get pays more…simple.

I think a great tip you gave out was to have two keywords targeted in your content. One to bring the trickle traffic and the other to trigger a big bucks ad.

That seems so obvious AFTER you learn it. lol

I have learned so much from you since January that it's unbelievable. I just wonder for how long you are going to keep it up. You know they say…good things don't last long!

    Hey everybody…three cheers for vic!!

    Thanks man,
    Chris

The money is on the things we need everyday it is funny how sometimes we over look some niches just because we think they are so obvious.

I wish you the best and please keep us inform on your progress.

    Vic,

You mentioned that you set up an ants site and geo targeted it. Can you explain how to geo target something again?

    Thanks,
    Fred
