InLinks Explained

by Vic on March 12, 2008

I still felt that before the Bookmarking Demon vlog I should go over what types of liks there are and also the importance and the why of each. Again I do not know how to stress that this is the most important thing we do. If you do not get links and understand the inlink process you will not succeed on the net.

The facts are that over 90% of people that try to start an online business fail. I would put my hand in fire that most of them is because they do not understand SEO and the power behind getting not only links but the right way of getting those links.

Well I hope this vlog has more then explained the importance of fully understanding links and how to do it right.

Finally the Bookmarking Demon vlog is next. I think again that it was importance you folks fully understood Bookmarking Demon to get the best return in your investment. I will also explain Scuttle which many of you do not understand what they are and how beneficial they can be at the same time how is the best way to do Bookmarking Demon runs.

    Vic,
Thanks Vic, I liked your dog example. I would be the person that would do that. I figured placing more keywords in the keyword box was similar to keyword stuffing.

I also wanted to say something about looking at stats. I am one of the people that check my stats. I have been at this for a couple of months and continue to learn. If people like me aren't making money right now the next best thing to do is look at stats. However, when I have a method in place.. I will be like the assembly line and pumping out sites. Additionally, I need to see if I( I am sure other people too)am successful at doing one blog before I begin spending time doing something wrong with 10 blogs. Just my 2 cents. as you had asked in your previous video. Again, I have been reading your blog since I started learning about SEO and I appreciate you sharing your knowledge.

Dennis I can fully understand your frustration but I do still think you are wrong. But I will make a video post explaining why.

I should also point out about hubpages is that the CTR for the adsense is actually pretty good. I thought that it would be very low. I plan on taking the best articles (in terms of traffic) from my sites and re-write them. Hubpages should also be able to rank pretty well for terms you might have difficulty with on your own sites. Yahoo particularly loves hubpages.

I have seen Hub Pages rank sick so I know they seem to work great but I still have seen more Squidoo constantly ranking then Hub but I think Squidoo is older hence the authority.

Please can you help me find this thing!!

John you have me scratching my head. No doubt it has to be on your side because the rest of the users can see it. What Antivirus do you have and does it have some type of script or ad blocker?

    John March 13, 2008 at 4:17 pm

To answer your question, I'm only using Symantec as my antivirus, and nothing out of the ordinary on FireFox.

I can see everything else on your site; embedded ads, text, the entire site, but I see no link or box for the video.

I've even gone to other sites that use YouTube, and I can view them just fine.

Any suggestions? And is anyone else having this problem?

    Vic March 13, 2008 at 4:58 pm

John this is not YouTube it is Revver lets do this go to Revver.com and see if you can see the videos fine is so it has to be something here so pls let me know.

The people that had problem updated there browsers and it was resolved.

    John March 15, 2008 at 3:31 am

I finally figured out that the reason I was unable to view your videos…I had to download an Adobe Flash plugin to view the Revver videos. Now I can see YOU!!

Thanks. BTW…great content on the videos. You're really sharing some great info, and I much prefer video to text. I think you're sharing much more insights than with text only. Thanks again.

Also, I hope you pick-up again on the advantages of having a "local niche" post you introduced earlier this year.

Again, a nice source of information. Will you add the links you mentioned in your vlog. ;)

I have a blog directory/marketplace and I would not accept anchor title. Yes, I'm almost a dumb F**k. You noticed that I added "marketplace". That's the main reason. But, if I would get myself a simple directory, I would allow anchor text for SEO. Would you go with a bid directory so that it pays for itself?

I had been using Technorati tags within my posts, tons of them based upon the popular characters who show up a specific episode. I haven't been using the wordpress tags, as I didn't think that internal tags would do that much for links. If I go back and update all my posts, will the updated posts ping all those services?

It would be around 40 some odd posts, no big deal, I have to go through them once a week to make sure everything is still working. I'm posting anime videos from various video sites on the web. I'm getting great rankings on individual posts where I get my keyword focus (ie Naruto Episode 1, etc) it's where I am going against the older sites that I"m not getting as great rankings, yet. We're only about 1.5 months old, so we're just getting started. :)

This is some great stuff! I waited all day at work knowing I had some great information from you at home. This video had tons of information. Thanks for sharing so much on backlinks and tags. Getting backlinks seems to be the hardest part of this whole business of making money online. Nothing more frustrating than putting time into a blog and never getting any traffic. In order to have at least 10 keywords wouldn't you have to be writing at least 1000 word posts?

I hate getting links it is the most boring thing in the world but it turns out to be the must thing we need to do everyday.

As for how many keywords it all depends how much are you willing to stuff and of course risk getting caught.

These tips are priceless to those of us who struggle to think laterally (or in any direction) about how to get links. Thanks Vic, the vlog posts are effective and get the point across even more than the writing, because you drop in a lot of little gems alongside your main points that you don't realise on first viewing.

    Hey Vic,

I just wanted to ask whether you had any thoughts on automated link networks such as 3waylinks.net ..etc. You ever add any of them to your sites?

Also, I'd like to say that I find your site an inspiration. I don't know why, but it's given me whatever I needed to start doing the things that matter i.e. the things that get results :-)

    Thanks buddy.

If a friend and I both have BMD, should / can we put our friends URLs in our legit runs as part of our hiding links method and likewise, as a kindness, in the scuttle runs or would this get us in trouble by overdoing it (getting greedy) provided we are following your recommended pattern for getting links to each URL?

    Hi Vic

I have just discovered your Blog and it is stuffed with useful information, particularly for someone like me who is relatively new to all of this. I can see that I shall have hours of reading here – thank you!
My question is that some of your videos seem to be missing. Am I too late to see them, or am I missing something really obvious? I was particularly looking forward to watching "Inlinks Explained" 12th March, but there is no link to the video?

Hint: Denise, don't use you BANS for links in here or other MMO blogs. You don't want others to use your hard work on research. ;)
