How To Get Google Juice

Google juice is the toughest to find but the sweetest to drink. The problem with getting Google juice is that most peeps are just totally clueless and I will prove it. If you are reading this you probably either think you understand Google or you call yourself an expert. Most people will never say they are clueless to Google juice. The fact is that probably all of you reading this are clueless period!

Let’s see what the typical post on how to do proper SEO to get traffic is. After you buy your domain you start your blog than you go and submit your domain to the search engines. You go and start going to blogs to comment to get links. You write articles. Submit to directory’s blah blah blah.

How about if I told you that I can get a domain and in the same day take position one in Google for a specific search.

Now forget all the bullshit you have read before and let’s really take a look at what Google is and how it works. Google is a company that provides a service. That service is find information you need. In order to Google be first in there market they need to provide the most fresh relevant information to there users. So what does this mean to you.

Let’s say that there is a 14 year old kid in Ohio that is playing with a friend in front of the yard. They are burning ants with a magnifying glass. As they are burning the ant one kid looks at the other kid and says hey I wonder do ants scratch there ass? They run into the house and do a search on Google “do ants scratch there ass” right now there is nothing showing up on Google with that exact search string and with out the quotes 110k. Your search - “do ants scratch there ass” - did not match any documents. Now this is what just happened when I did the search Google’s system logged that there was nothing available for that search string and logs it. Now I will stop writing and I will publish the post incomplete, once I do this I will come back and continue writing. Ok let’s mark the time 1:41 AM my time.

Now we have to understand that indexing and ranking has to do way more than just links and PR. It has to do with how much content is out there for that keyword. Also how old is that content. Let’s say that there is a post on eating bananas and in that post it speaks about the dangers of choking while eating a banana. Now can we agree that there should not be that many people choking on bananas? So there is a 2 year old article about choking on the banana and has being linked many times over giving it a solid PR4. The name of the Article is “The Dangers of Eating Bananas” The domains name is healthandmore dot com

Now here comes Vic and buys the domain bananaskill dot com and writes an article named “Choking on Bananas” ok now I stop and tell you that this post which I have not finished writing was indexed already it only took 6 minutes mmm how the fuck you think I did that ;) and I took position one on the search “do ants scratch there ass” out of 110,000 with a 7 day old site. I will explain how I did that and why this happened. So anyway back to the bananas. I use inside my post 4 times choking on bananas. It will not matter that my site is brand new because of the combination of keywords domain name and article name I will take position one on that search even though the first post has all those years and and the solid page rank.

Now I want you peeps to tell me why this post got indexed in 6 minutes and how I took position one on the search. I want to read what you think happened so I can focus on specifics than instead of writing for another hour stuff you already know.

How To Get Google Juice | Blogger Unleashed…

Ok folks I think you will really like this one. I started this post and before I finished it I already had it indexed and ranking first on a search string in less than six minutes. Now come and read how a real SEO guy does it. Please Zoom this post big…

  2. Mike Olbinski on 15.12.2007 at 03:25 (Reply)

I don’t have any idea how it goes indexed so fast, but I know it does happen. I posted my review on I an Legend and got a hit already off Google on it, but it’s not on the frontpage.

I would think yours got listed first because:

    1. You are the only one with “do ants scratch there ass” in a blog anywhere

    2. You used the phrase like 3-4 times in this one post

Using that strategy, I should probably have put “I am Legend review” in my blog 3-4 times to get it up higher in the Google search results?

on a side note Vic, you have a freaky obsession with Ants :)

  3. The Rookie on 15.12.2007 at 05:02 (Reply)

I have no idea - does it have anything to do with the “there” instead of “their”?

    1. Mike Olbinski on 15.12.2007 at 05:05 (Reply)

That is true, but I think he just didn’t use the right word :)

      1. The Rookie on 15.12.2007 at 05:09 (Reply)

Yeah it was just a blatant guess…

  4. costa on 15.12.2007 at 05:21 (Reply)

    Vic,

    Thanks for starting this series.

I took a hint where you said,

I use inside my post 4 times choking on bananas. It will not matter that my site is brand new because of the combination of keywords domain name and article name I will take position one on that search even though the first post has all those years and and the solid page rank.

And I noticed you highlighted the words “do ants scratch there ass” in bold 2 times, before you published it uncompleted. Is this the factor that is helping you rank Number One? Highlighting the main keywords?

Buthen, how did you do it in 6 minutes? I am stumped.

Hope I am not making myself look too foolish here.

brilliant. very cool how you explained it and very funny. thanks rookieblogger for telling me of this site.

Great, you can get no 1 rank on a search that nobody is going to make and write a post nobody is going to read. I do that all the time with no rank at all.

    1. Vic on 15.12.2007 at 11:38 (Reply)

Yup I was waiting for the dumb fuck to make this one comment LMAO. I guess you won. It is so easy to hook a dumb fuck. The funny thing is that this guy is totally clueless to what the post is even about LMAO.

Vic you are going to make a lot of fans my friend - oh you can find your answer on my blog. It took me 7 minutes to out rank you… damn! I’m getting slow.

    Griz.

      LMAO Awesome Grizz,

Folks please visit Grizz’s site and look at what he did so we can discuss later.

  8. Vic on 15.12.2007 at 11:19 (Reply)

Hey Guys I will explain later in the day when more folks have had a chance to express what they think happened.

  9. Frank C on 15.12.2007 at 12:20 (Reply)

Well, you’ve already had the “Captain Obvious” observation that the term wasn’t a high competition one. It’s also a misspelling since it should read “Do Ants Scatch Their Ass”. But common misspellings are a way to sneak your pages into both search and Adwords and get a high ranking and hits.

Secondly, you’re bolding the term you want to get ranking for and repeating it, bolded, several times. Google seems to love this and header tags too. Griz probably outranked you because his was in a H3 and in the Title.

Lastly, you’re probably using the Auto Social software to get a lot of immediate attention from Googlebot.

  10. Grizzly on 15.12.2007 at 13:16 (Reply)

    Hey Frank,

I only used Vic’s exact term “do ants scratch there ass” once in the whole post. The rest are misspellings or I’ve dropped a modifier.

My Title has “scratch” spelled wrong “Do Ants Scatch There Ass”. (Search for that term and see how you can get a double listing).

I don’t have Auto Social software so the instant indexing trick is still on the table. (the real point Vic is making - you can get any site or keyword indexed instantly if you know how).

Submitting sites to Google is a sure way to delay it and get sandboxed.

    1. Vic on 15.12.2007 at 13:57 (Reply)

LMAO Game over. First Grizz some fucking asshole spammed your email inside askimet and now everytime you make a comment it goes straight to the spam box this happen to me. Go to the Askimet site they have a contact form where you request for them to fix this it took me 48 hours and it was done.

Ok Grizz hit the whole reason for the post right on the fucking money.

Ok the reason that my post had what it is called instant indexing and then Grizz was also instant indexing was inside the same post but know body mentioned it.

They run into the house and do a search on Google “do ants scratch there ass” right now there is nothing showing up on Google with that exact search string and with out the quotes 110k.

This is what happened. When I search on Google a term with no results Google flags that search string. Hence the weird misspelled string I needed something that I knew there would be no exact string so I can force the Google system to flag my search. When I did first published the post midway Google was already waiting for someone that wrote about that search term so they could index it. So the reason it took 6 minutes was the time that my blog pinged Google Blog Search and the time after that the google bot was deployed to spider the post. Grizz took seven minutes not because my post was better just because that is how long for the ping and bot to be deployed. The quickest I have had a post indexed using this method has been 1 minute.

In others words fuck all that shit about getting a domain indexed by all the submission shit and the getting links to get it indexed. If you need a domain to get quick indexing usually in minutes all you have to do is either write about a current hot topic of the day or make a search string that is not in any page in the internet and then write a post with that search string and your domain will usually index in minutes.

This was the reason for the whole post this had nothing to do with page ranking but I knew there would be a Dumb fuck like ROTUS that would act like he knew everything and state the obvious. LMAO there is always a dumb fuck the takes the hook this is why I did not want to answer comments till I got enough feedback and until the dump fuck took the bait.

This how we masters of the dark arts index 100 domains that we just bough in an hour or less.

I wanted to start with this lesson so you start understanding what Google does and if you understand that they are in a business to provide information that is fresh and relevant you can easily use this to your advantage.

The key to winning in a game is to know and understand the rules.

    2. Frank C on 15.12.2007 at 14:11 (Reply)

I missed your ’scatch’ when I looked at it.

As I recall, some words aren’t as significant to Google as others, such as ‘the’. Is ‘do’ one of those as well?

I don’t know exactly how the quick indexing is done but I do seem to get things into Google quickly. For example, the blog review post I posted 11:57 showed up in Google search within a few minutes of posting it (I didn’t time it exactly). For a search on the site name I’m only below the site owner and Technorati. I must have some accidental SEO going on somewhere.

      1. Vic on 15.12.2007 at 14:16 (Reply)

Frank quick indexing is totally related to Googles need of the information. When you get quick indexing it basically means that inside your post there is a keyword or a combination of keywords that placed together provide search results for a string.

On a side note. Guys you get sandbox, kiss quick indexing goodbye.

        1. Mike on 15.12.2007 at 16:15 (Reply)

Hey Vic, in regards to your side note of new sites getting the google sandbox.

Does every single new site(excluding expired domains older than 18 months that are purchased) get put in the google sandbox or is it dependent on how competive the keywords are that you are attempting to rank for?

From what I have read on the subject sites may not be sandboxed if they are not dealing with competive keywords.

If there is no avoiding the sandbox is there anyway to get out in a timely fashion?

          1. Vic on 15.12.2007 at 16:35 (Reply) (Comments won't nest below this level)

Mike sandbox is the name we never mention at least this is how Google treats it. They have never formally talked about sandbox. Sandbox is a must it is design to catch spam sites this is the one single reason it exist. So this is the deal from my experience. You will get sandboxed if you submit your site to get indexed or when it starts getting serious traffic. Serious traffic meaning 6k or more a day and taking position one one hot searches. The system will flag your site and bam your in the box. There is no clear answer out there on how to get out most that have the knowledge agree that it may last 6 months to the mac I have ever seen a site in the box is a year once the domain had a full year it started ranking normally high again.

Now there seems to be different types of boxes from losing all your rankings to only selected keywords. Trust me as it pains me sandbox can take a 20k a day unique hit site to less than 2000 unique hits a day I have sadly experienced this myself.

Not every domain gets placed in sandbox as long as your traffic those first 18 months to be safe is low they might now even look at you when your site finally explodes the system explains it by natural growth the sites that get sent to the box fast are those with traffic explosion perfect Example Blogging Zoom which is in the box right now and this site will probably get in the box pretty soon. When this site gets sent to the box you will see no more 4 minute post indexing.

Is it a side effect of my “blogrush sucks” campaign? Just lucky? Any other ideas?

    Vic,

So, if understand you, if I need to get a regular site index(ie not a blog), I write something about it by using a blog. This way, the site will be index later indirectly.

    1. Vic on 15.12.2007 at 15:57 (Reply)

For instant indexing you have to ping from the website. What you mention would be the same thing as commenting on another blog and have the bot arrive from there which btw that is fine to just a bit more slower. The thing we must never never do is submit to Google a new site you might as well send them an email to place the domain in sandbox from day one.

      1. Steve McGrath on 15.12.2007 at 16:11 (Reply)

I did not submit my new sites with Google. Instead, I added them to Google Webmaster Tools and got index within a week. I tried it on one of my blog this summer and even removed all pings to it. I wrote a post about that.

Your way is much quicker ;) After that, you just need to remove the post from your blog because it was only use for indexing the new site. Otherwise, you just sent a half made post to technorati, Google Blog Search…unless you finished it with the correction a few minutes later.

        1. Vic on 15.12.2007 at 16:23 (Reply)

Steve again for all effects it would be the same thing as either tagging as Frank mentioned before or commenting on a site it is the same thing. If you post all you are doing is requesting a bot to spider the post if there is a url inside the post it will spider it. Now let’s say you make your post to index your other site and seconds later I am making a comment on your post and I place in the url comment field my site which is not indexed either it will get spider just as the site in your post.

  15. Mike on 15.12.2007 at 18:21 (Reply)

Vic (This is a reply to your comment about my sandbox question)

I am guessing this is what happened to your bu.bulicio.us site? It sounds like there is no way around the sandbox then. My next question would be do you have any recommendations on how a site can survive while it is in the sandbox?

I have a couple websites that are less than 3 months old that receive substantial traffic on a daily basis. They fall into the traffic category you described that would send a site to the sandbox. Since I am not familiar with what happens to traffic levels for sites in the sandbox I have no idea what to expect.

I know there is no clear answer so this is just a in general question. When a site is in the sandbox does new content not get indexed at all? Does it just take longer such as a day rather than 4 minutes. I am just trying to plan for the future of these sites as it sounds like it is going to change my business plan.

    1. Vic on 15.12.2007 at 18:53 (Reply)

Mike saying this is what happen to me with Bu.bulicio.us is an understatement. When I got placed in sandbox I was bitched slapped like a bastard child. It was really bad. Now it seems they have stopped squeezing my nuts so bad, but to give you an example a few weeks ago I had over 50 new post that did not index for more than 7 days, this is how bad I got it up my ass.

What I would like to know is what you consider traffic? If you are in hundreds section you should be fine when I got bitched slapped I was in the 20k unique a day and it has been taken down to as low as 800 unique a day.

My advice if you get placed in sandbox go running like a little girl and buy a pre-owned domain and start a quick niche. This is what I did including running like a little girl. I am posting at Bu just to keep the bot alive but I am not really worried I bought a PR3 site and it was like nothing happen. I will never again buy a new domain to develop now I buy new domains if the name is perfect and I just setup BANS sites to age it and make a bit of money with it.

  16. Mike on 15.12.2007 at 19:18 (Reply)

Thanks for the advice Vic I greatly appreciate it. I have the upmost respect for your knowledge and expertise.

In regards to what I consider good traffic to be, I completley agree with you. 6k uniques is good traffic 20k unique hits is awesome traffic. I have one site that has received these types of traffic levels consitently. The other site receives between 1k and 3k uniques a day on average, but it is younger.

I read your post on purchasing pre-owned domains and after reading your advice you just left in your reply I am going to find me a a couple good pre-owned domain names that I can get working on. I have a filling the “sandbox” is coming and I just want to be prepared.

I have done a small amount of research into buying the pre-owned domain names, but have not found anything worth while. Would you say the ebook you bought has all the answers for doing this? Is there any websites that you would recommend that list pre-owned domains or expiring domains that are available? I appreciate the time you have taken to reply to my questions, Thanks. :)

    1. Vic on 15.12.2007 at 19:28 (Reply)

Mike the best thing you are thinking of doing at the end of the day Mike what ever site you build you can resell it anyway later so it is never a lost.

I bought all three buy and sell domain books that where supposed to be good one was just pure shit I requested a refund from clickbank the other was good but by far the one I liked the best was Phil’s book as I mentioned on the post it has some fluff most ebooks do but I was totally new to this buy and sell domains shit I really had never got into it I was into a buy an .info domain and have it banned in a week thing LMAO But I have followed Phil’s tips to a letter and I have my first sale I think Tuesday when the guy gets paid. I bought it for $125.00 and following the advice I am selling it for $550.00 It is not thousands of dollars but for me who had never done this I feel proud.

  17. Grizzly on 15.12.2007 at 19:26 (Reply)

    Hey Guys,

Vic maybe you can confirm this as I am only going on what “seems” to be happening but never had confirmation from anyone else.

When I start a new site I always start with a dozen or so original content posts spread out over a few weeks and link to each post from a high ranking PR site (PR5 - PR7). Secondly I never monetize the site until I am getting crawled regularly. With one exception I have not had a new site sandboxed doing this - the site that was sandboxed seems to be because I got over aggressive with too many posts in too short of a time. (usually a sign of spamming and I was. lol).

I have also noticed that you can get out of the sandbox fairly quickly by collecting a few relevant high PR backlinks.

Vic have you ever noticed if high PR links have had the same results on your sites?

There has to be a a mathematical formula for the sandbox but I haven’t got enough collaborative evidence to figure it out.

    1. Vic on 15.12.2007 at 19:35 (Reply)

Grizz I got placed in the box already a toolbar PR4 as a matter of fact we where I think in week two of Blogging Zoom when I got placed on sandbox. A source of mine says that PR sites get visually inspected and then taken out so I am still waiting I guess.

I re routed a PR5 link to index of BU because I had heard of this before but as of right now I can safely say. It is still way up my ass.

Any new techniques I am open ears. Shit I was so used to getting my domains de-indexed in less then a month for markov sites that I never had a problem with sandbox before LMAO.

  18. Mike on 15.12.2007 at 19:37 (Reply)

That is awesome on the buying and reselling of the domain. You should feel proud.

At this point I am just interested in buying a domain that is more than 18 months to fill in the gaps while I am stuck in the sandbox if this does happen to my sites. When the sandbox effect goes away the other sites will do just fine I would think. And your right there is always the option to sell them down the road. The ebook you found most useful will teach me how to buying pre-owned domains if I do not plan to resell them right?

    1. Vic on 15.12.2007 at 19:40 (Reply)

Mike I am using GoDaddy auctions just figure to spend hours though but OMG is it awesome.

      1. Mike C on 18.12.2007 at 18:16 (Reply)

Hey Vic I have a couple more questions about avoiding the sandbox issue.

#1 is finding a pre-owned domain with pagerank reall important to avoiding the sandbox effect? #2 Are domains with dashes inbetween words bad for google traffic? I have never purchased a domain name with dashes and wondered if it made much difference.

As a side note and had commented on this post as “Mike” I have changed myname to “Mike C” as I do not want to be confused with the other “Mike” that commented afte me. I would never say something like he did and I hope you didn’t think it was the same person.

Thanks for your time Vic, as always.

  20. Grizzly on 15.12.2007 at 19:49 (Reply)

Ha… well de-indexing does take the sting out of sandbox problems! Lol.

Now you have me thinking that post frequency might have more to with this - remember the old days when spam sites would have hundreds of pages of content thrown up in a few days. In a natural state we wouldn’t write more than a post or two a day and perhaps more than this triggers the Google flag.

Just thinking out loud and do you think we have added enough content to your blog yet? Ha. This may be the first site in history where the comments section is larger than the post section!

Looks like you have a hit on your hands and GAWD help us if you end up being famous for this - I can imagine the colorful language at your first cocktail party when they seat you next to John Chow! HeHe… maybe he’ll convince you to try out Entrecard!!!!!

There… that should get Vic fired up.

    1. Vic on 15.12.2007 at 20:00 (Reply)

Shit Grizz I think you nailed it. Look at this I was posting between 10 to 20 post a day at Bu when we started BZ my time was just cut way short because of all the stuff we where doing the first days. Suddenly not only I was not posting the same count but I would even skip days I wonder if the sudden change in posting lifted a flag that sent me to sandbox.

We are at 34 post with 231 comments LMAO

Cocktail Party: And now I leave you with Victor Franqui and Vic says What-up Bitches

wow Vic. I just did this on my blog and it worked. I searched for “xxxxxxxxxxxx” in google and got no results. Then I made a post and made the phrase the name of the post and included it a couple times in the post. Then I added the Google Blog Search ping to my ping list and published the post. It got indexed in 12 minutes. Nice! I have already subscribed to your feed lol.

    1. Vic on 15.12.2007 at 21:07 (Reply)

      ;)

  22. Hmm … this sounds almost too easy. But now comes the hard part; exploiting this with a semi-relevant range of search terms :P

    1. Vic on 15.12.2007 at 22:46 (Reply)

Jason this is for indexing not for ranking. But I have a post that will answer your question later where you tie in a keyword for indexing and then have a keyword for ranking.

Well, I tried this out tonight and while I didn’t get the #1 spot, I got to #4 on the search term I picked out.

    - I had a scoop on some NBC programming changes
    - I searched for “nbc programming changes” and found a few results for it
    - Named my blog Upcoming NBC Programming Changes” and then bolded a few more references to it in my post, and also used a H3 for one of them.

    A bit later, and I’m at #4.

Not sure what I could have done to get higher, unless some of it has to do with your PR ranking, and I don’t think I’m very high right now.

    1. Vic on 16.12.2007 at 11:55 (Reply)

Mike Grizz touched it on a lower comment but this post has to do with getting instant indexing not ranking that is just another whole bowl of potatoes.

  29. Online College Adviser on 16.12.2007 at 07:30 (Reply)

WOW! I started my first blog last month, and it’s got a handful of posts on there. I know it’s not much yet, but I’ve been pulling my hair out trying to get Google to notice me. I tried submitting my blog to Webmaster Tools yesterday, and I got the message that I needed to be patient because sometimes it takes time to get the site indexed. I’m not sure if part of my result was because of that or because I just went in and did what you suggested, but BOOM…using the keywords “online college adviser” I am now in the No.3 position! YES!

Thanks Vic! You’ve just added one more fan to your club. :-)

    1. Vic on 16.12.2007 at 11:56 (Reply)

Well If you where having problems with indexing I am glad it helped for the ranking that has to do with other factors not involved in this post.

  30. Grizzly on 16.12.2007 at 10:05 (Reply)

    Hey mike,

PR is one factor or you can add a few links to your post from other sites with your keyword in the anchor. An increase in either links or PR will push you higher up the page.

Good job though - I think everyone just learned a valuable technique that can pay off big when used right. Most competition has no idea about this and that is always an advantage.

  31. Mike on 16.12.2007 at 10:11 (Reply)

It is very easy to get ranked for such LONG tail, “non”- searched terms like the ones you mention. That will not help us get more traffic for our specific niches and keywords. I’ve seen other “gurus” show how easy it is, but show me how you can get the “quick” and “top” ranking for a search term that is searched on.

You made my day, Vic. Cheers

Mike a little sense of humor goes a long way…

Personally I’d rather be called a stupid fuck than a dumb fuck - the DF obviously being at the bottom of the fuck barrel. A stupid fuck still has a snowballs chance of graduating to a lame fuck which we all know is only one step below “get the fuck outta here” which in Vic parlance is damn near a compliment. I predict Blogger Unleashed takes position one on the serp’s for “fuck” any day now.

Vic, Your blog is like a page turning book. Just have to keep reading.

This post have all the makings of a good story. Story within story with the ants and bananas. Suspense driven with the quick index puzzle. Whodunit denouncement in the comments with Grizzly the amateur detective providing the partial solution and then you giving the final solution with explanation. A wonderful villain in Mike the Siteless guy. “Fuck” word all over the place to give this story a gritty texture.

If you have not noticed, I think I am a fan.

Nice tip on instant indexing. Although I am indexed and probably in the sandbox, I might want to try it later just for the fun of it.

Hmm… I found something odd. I posted this article,

    http://www.masked-dispatcher.c.....ollection/

last week and was indexed in less than 15 minutes. I also entered it into Bloggingzoom and Digg. I did searches on my keywords, and wasn’t in the 1st 5 or so pages. I tossed it up to Jessica Simpson being a tought keyword to crack, and moved on.

Tonight I noticed that I got a hit on the article from a search. I do a search of my keywords again, now I’m 1st on page 2, and 2nd on page one :)

I haven’t done anything to promote it since. Is there any reason why I would go up over a few days?

    Thanks!
    Shawn

Desty sometimes backlinks take a while to get counted right now I started a new niche with a buddy and we are going through the same thing. Then suddenly they get counted and bam you are in top of serps the important thing is to keep working the backlinks.

Thom we really need to wait for Grizz I really do not know how Blogger pings.

      1. Thom on 03.01.2008 at 15:36 (Reply)

        That’s cool.

In the interest of us all figuring out how this works I’ll add this. As of this morning if you G the phrase “can bears pick there nose” you now get one result, the post I put on one of my other blogs linking back to the bear blog (of course hoping to get some spider action going there). Still no results from CanBearsPickThereNose.blogspot.com.

A quick G search on “how blogger pings” gave a number one result to a page that will let you submit your blog to G if it is not showing up in the index. I know submissions are a dangerous thing, any thoughts… anyone… anyone…?

        I’ll keep everyone updated.

am i doing it wrong? how do i ping the damn thing?

    Vic,

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I have taken action from reading your blog on two different occasions this week and immediately saw positive results.

First, I read your post about ebay. Actually, one of your commenters left a suggestion about how to apply. I used his recommendation and oila! I received an acceptance in exactly 15 minutes into ebay affiliate program. ( I don’t have a BANS site or even a hosted blog for that matter but thought, let me strike while the iron is hot and before everyone slams ebay using this method:)) Needless to say it worked.

Secondly, I tried Vic’s Google juice method for one of my lenses that I began promoting only yesterday. My page did come up in big G search results on the digg results…BUT not on it’s own.

I pinged my site last night and it showed up in another bookmarking site but not on it’s own.

I just read this post about 15-20 minutes ago and applied your technique and FINALLY a breakthrough.

Not only is my site indexed by big G, it’s also beating out About.com, which as you know has monster backlinks and pages for my main keyword and is also showing up on the second page for another secondary keyword.

Again, thank you for sharing and being the person you are and also creating an atmosphere where you bring out the best in people on your blog.

A little hint to all of you with squidoo pages Vics method works equally well for them as well.

    Cheers!
    Sunshine

I am new to this blogging stuff and have set up one initial blog based on what I have read at grizzly’s site. Anyway, I set it up a few days ago and it hasn’t been indexed yet, so I found this trick and thought I would try it out.

Just to see if I could get indexed, I created a post with about a nonsense word. First I searched google for the word, nothing. Good. Then I started writing a post about the word with the word in the title and several times in the post. I stopped halfway through writing and published. I then searched google again for the word, just to make sure. Finally I finished the rest of the post and published it. It has been at least a half hour since I’ve done this and still nothing on google. I even pinged my blog with technorati.

Am I just too impatient? I want to start getting some blogs going without having to wait months before they show up in searches. What am I doing wrong?

    1. Vic on 08.05.2008 at 19:32 (Reply)

If it is a blogger blog I have no idea. This tip works with wordpress and ping list.

  53. Chas on 29.05.2008 at 21:35 (Reply)

I did notice this instant ranking effect after editing post a few times. What most people call the sandbox is simply that the age of a website and all of it’s links and the reputation of those links are all included in the ranking system. And it takes about 3 months for Google to figure all that crap out. For less competetive terms you can rank higher than all the aged factors with “Fresh Factors”.
