I did notice this instant ranking effect after editing post a few times. What most people call the sandbox is simply that the age of a website and all of it's links and the reputation of those links are all included in the ranking system. And it takes about 3 months for Google to figure all that crap out. For less competetive terms you can rank higher than all the aged factors with "Fresh Factors".

I am new to this blogging stuff and have set up one initial blog based on what I have read at grizzly's site. Anyway, I set it up a few days ago and it hasn't been indexed yet, so I found this trick and thought I would try it out.

Just to see if I could get indexed, I created a post with about a nonsense word. First I searched google for the word, nothing. Good. Then I started writing a post about the word with the word in the title and several times in the post. I stopped halfway through writing and published. I then searched google again for the word, just to make sure. Finally I finished the rest of the post and published it. It has been at least a half hour since I've done this and still nothing on google. I even pinged my blog with technorati.

Am I just too impatient? I want to start getting some blogs going without having to wait months before they show up in searches. What am I doing wrong?

Vic,

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I have taken action from reading your blog on two different occasions this week and immediately saw positive results.

First, I read your post about ebay. Actually, one of your commenters left a suggestion about how to apply. I used his recommendation and oila! I received an acceptance in exactly 15 minutes into ebay affiliate program. ( I don't have a BANS site or even a hosted blog for that matter but thought, let me strike while the iron is hot and before everyone slams ebay using this method:)) Needless to say it worked.

Secondly, I tried Vic's Google juice method for one of my lenses that I began promoting only yesterday. My page did come up in big G search results on the digg results...BUT not on it's own.

I pinged my site last night and it showed up in another bookmarking site but not on it's own.

I just read this post about 15-20 minutes ago and applied your technique and FINALLY a breakthrough.

Not only is my site indexed by big G, it's also beating out About.com, which as you know has monster backlinks and pages for my main keyword and is also showing up on the second page for another secondary keyword.

Again, thank you for sharing and being the person you are and also creating an atmosphere where you bring out the best in people on your blog.

A little hint to all of you with squidoo pages Vics method works equally well for them as well.

Cheers!
