Hey there Vic,

Really nice detailed post! Just have a quick question for you since I'm fairly new to this. You've mentioned in this video and a few others that you don't even throw the Adsense up on the website until it's a few months old.

Does this avoid your websites from ever being "sandboxed" by Google? Also if I do put the code in from day 1 what will happen?

Any advice on why you don't drop it in for 2 months or so and also when the best time to drop the Adsense code in would be greatly appreciated.

Nice work,

Hey Vic,

I recently tested out putting a 300x250 adsense ad in the "Related Posts" section of each post and was wondering if you have anymore information on whether or not it's acceptable via Google's TOS?

Thanks!

I tried to sign up for AdSense when I was first looking to install ads on my site. Since I require a P.O.Box on my address or my mail doesn't get delivered, Google rejected my application. I contacted them about the situation and they pretty much replied, that's the way it is. Its a real shame they don't offer the option of payments by PayPal.

Hi Vic,

I got open ads installed ... was pretty straight forward. I don't really have time tonight to go through the tutorial, but hopefully sometime tomorrow, I'll be serving up my own ads. :)

Thanks ... appreciate the advice.

Thanks Vic,

I still only have two sites with Adsense on them. But I think I'm starting to get the hang of how to get clicks ... so, as I develop more sites, it might be time to look into open ads.

Frank ... I appreciate the tip about the firefox plugin. I'll do some investigating to see if I can track it down. And duh, I hadn't even considered the obvious solution of just turning on an adblocker ... which wouldn't really make a big difference for me, I'm one of those "bad" visitors who very rarely clicks on ads anyway.

There was a Firefox plugin around that would do this but I can't find it right off. You could, of course, use standard AdBlocking techniques but that would disable it for all sites.

Hi Vic,

Do you know if there's a way to make Adsense recognize my IP address so that when I visit one of my own blogs (for instance to reply to a comment), it doesn't count as a impression?

Thanks in advance,
Todd
