Think I'll wait a few days for the dust to settle before applying the BANS ePN upgrade.

Vic,

Question on competing monetization...

Lets say I have a BANS site for antique cars and that BANS site has sub-cats for ford, chevy, etc.

Let say I also have niche blogs for antique-ford and antique-chevy.

Knowing how you feel about competing monetization...should I go with only Adsense on the niche blogs, or use them to drive traffic to the appropriate BANS sub-cat page, or...(fill in the blank here)?

Vic I have a question for you buddy.

Collecting domain real estate takes time, we all know that. So while I'm doing that in the mean-time I'm setting up subdomain sites using the main keyword in the subdomain name. The TLD is a four character nothing name, so its good for all niche keywords - one size fits all!

I remember reading somewhere that the SE's treat subdomains the same as any other site.

I've always believed I have the same chance of competing in the SERPs with a subdomain site as a top level domain site, assuming all SEO is equal.

Vic, what's your take on doing that?

I know individual domains are best, no question. But as a way of increasing the number of sites out there is this a good way to go?

I'm another one of the lucky guys, I logged in first thing in the morning yesterday and got approved right away. One nice bonus of living in Europe we're at least 6 hours in front of you guys in the US! I guess I beat the rush.

The editor tools wouldn't work at first, then by mid afternoon I could use them to re-code with the new eBay aff id all my sites that use it. BTW if you don't know what that is, its eBay's own BANS-style software - its just a little more work, but the result is the same.

I'm going for the jugular with this setting up as many sites in different niches as I can with this.

This comment might not be straight on topic, but it is important: I've just tried to set up a BANS site on Dreamhost (as I already have an account with them) and it is not working. So, if any of you think of not getting Hostgator, think twice, because you may waste your money on hosting you won't be able to use.

Hey Vic,

Yes you are right. I am definitely not a quitter, but at the time I was just frustrated and angry. After sleeping over it, finally their contact form that I couldn't find the previous day was revealed to me. I just sent them the first message, I will bug the hell out of them until they approve me.

Hey, it's important, if you were approved with CJ to mention that to them. This is what that eBay lady asked me after my first email. So it's important to them not to reject their former partners.
I was afraid to mention BANS in my emails, because I didn't know how much they agree with it, but now I'm going to set up a few sites and send her the 3rd email later on today.
