BANS Ebay Changes and Comments

With the EBAY announcement I felt I should talk a bit about it and also the possible outcome. I also took time and answered some comments deeper then writing. This morning, eBay announced that they are moving their affiliate program in house to the eBay Partner Network effective April 1, 2008. Affiliates and publishers need to have links changed over by May 1, 2008.

eBay is not severing all ties with ValueClick or Commission Junction since VC’s Mediaplex tracking solution is being used for the eBay Publisher Network and Tradera AB, ProStores, Reseller Marketplace, Media Marketplace, eBay Stores and StubHub will continue to be on the CJ platform.

I guess thanks for the honorable mention.:o) However, I have to defend looking at my stats. Can I get you to agree that you know what works and what doesn’t? I agree looking at stats does not make me money. However, It tells me what terms are being used to find my site. Where they are coming from? Is the methods I am using to get back links working?

I can’t afford the tools you have in your arsenal SEO E, BMD, Keyword E. I do agree as soon as I begin to make money thats where my money will be reinvested.

They say the sign of someone insane is doing something wrong over and over and expecting different results. I have yet the opportunity to know I did something wrong, other than I picked the wrong niche on my first attempt. So, I no way to gauge if I have done enough for a niche and when should I move onto another one.

Again, I know stats does not make me money. However, it does provide the data that tells me what’s working and what is not? Do you agree? A measurable success in creating niche sites =money, if I don’t have that then I am not successful in SEO. However,looking at stats provides a semblance of hope that the flood gates are about to open and to continue plugging along and building backlinks.

I’ve got thick skin.. Let me hear it :0)

How do you do your research to select which ebay product categories to use with BANS? Then once you select your category, do you use normal keyword tools to select the keywords you’re trying to rank for in your product category?

I have another tricky question. I bought some domains from go daddy but I couldn’t get the two dollar ones because I didn’t want my actual name and address to show up in the who is information.

What’s the best way to handle this? Should I set up a business name with a PO box?

Thanks to you , I have 4 bans site running and I am banking on this to make some decent money. I’ve another 2 domains on the way.

Never thought of keyword stuffing the individual pages to get more traffic. Looks like I am another dumbfuck!LOL.

One tiny question. When we BMD these Bans Sites, do we just do it for the home page or what? Or do we BMD Bans sites at all?

I think someone else mentioned it too, but, yes, writing “too good” for the niche blogs is a problem for me as well. One way I’ve been dealing with this is to only allow myself 5 minutes to write a new post or rewrite a PLR.

Along that line, I’ve been wondering about how far you can dumb down content without upsetting Googlebot and Adsensebot? I’ve heard using Markov chain posts and other black/gray hat autogen methods that used to work are today a sure way to deindexing and a possible Adsense ban.
