[...] The cost of getting into BANS seemed reasonable $97 for the software plus maybe another $100 for the domain names. My existing hosting would handle the extra sites: at least until I got into profit! Vic’s formula seemed to make sense: keyword selection is difficult so don’t focus on one site: instead build bulk sites, bulk sites, get targeted trickle traffic. so that 10 or 20 unique hits which will convert to $1/day profit – a 100 sites – that’s the start of a nice business as far as I am concerned.
Wikipedia is not really a fortunate example. They don't have keywords in domain but they have links ... sooooo many links!

I'm Mac too, but bought a Windows laptop - I'm a web designer so need both, and my last PC caught on fire (no kidding, the power box did.) I do my design work and video on the Mac, and was only using my PC to do cross-browser checking - but I am now using the PC a whole lot more since following the BU 100 BANS Slam Damn Plan. I've got wireless set up so I can sit on the porch on nice days and write articles or comments. At night, before I go to sleep, I take the laptop to bed and watch Vic live or recorded, or read a nice long Griz bedtime story. I end up dreaming about keyword research, domain names - or having nightmares about being a stupid dumbfuck and messing something up.

I'm also excited that I can take the laptop with me anywhere, and do this on vacation!

Tell me. Am I addicted?

Adam,
Vic's right, developers don't have us die hard Mac users in mind a lot of the times. Here are a few work arounds though:

1- If you have a newer Mac, and you don't have OS X-Leopard, you might want to get it because it comes with Bootcamp. Bootcamp will let you run Windows XP or Vista on your Mac and any Windows based scripts/software.

2-There's a software package out called Parallels Desktop for Mac that works on Intel based Macs too allowing you to run Windows on top of the Mac OS. There are otherslike Virtual PC, etc

or

If you are like me, using an older Mac that is not Intel based, consider getting a cheap Windows system. I'm getting my first windows comp EVER this weekend. Found a decent setup on Craigslist for under $200. When I start making money I'll get the latest

Don't let this stop you..

What about those of us that have a Mac? I don't think BMD or any of that software you keep taking about is availible for a Mac

Are us Mac users shit out of luck?

Vic,
I am a noob, can I still go after a niche if most of the websites on the first page of Google are PR4 or is it better to find another niche?
Thanks~~
