Seriously though, I am old. Even older than you. And I have ADD, ADHD, and probably a ton of other things.

I do need constant action (that’s why I liked online poker before it became a felony in the Socialist Republic of the Sate of Washington) and there is NOT constant action in getting links, submitting articles, and all the crap you have to do. I am struggling with it being terribly boring.

Vic: What’s the Affiliate Directory you talked about?

A fact about age: The older you get, the harder it is for “most” people to learn new stuff. But it is feasible to learn but will take more time. That’s why young children can learn another language early. I scientist explained it 2 months ago on TV. The 55 woman must had been an exception but good for her. ;)

I can’t wait for April first! I will be able to get my ebay affiliate ID. :D I applied on CJ the day before they announce it.

Syncing audio and video is a dark art. I spent days experimenting before finding a combination of codecs, bit rates, and compression parameters to make anything viewable. But it was fun to learn and produce something from scratch.
MS MovieMaker is surprisingly adequate for free. e.g.

Thanks for the response, Vic. I know my knowledge compared to you doesn’t amount to a hill of beans. But hearing your response, and learning about Justin, helps to make this all sound much more feasible. You are really an inspiration.

I don’t think I’ll hit $17k in the time frame you gave for yourself, but I’m sure I can hit Justin’s numbers in the same time frame. The biggest hurdle for me was getting to the point of buying the tools. They’re the difference between building by hand and turning your efforts into a highly efficient assembly line as I see it.

Again, thanks so much for answering my question!

I should have said, “The biggest hurdle IS getting to the point of buying the tools.” That’s what I’m working toward now.

    Vic,

If it makes you feel any better about your governor, he’ll be in good company when our former governor makes it back to the big house!

On a happier note…my first BANS site went live yesterday and I had my first organic visitor today. Where can I look in CJ to find out if they converted? (You know, the first one is the most exciting!)

    Thanks for the encouragement!

    Thom

LMAO yeah my wife an me do not agree but I think the governor needs to start buying soap LMAO.

Thom mmm you are not actually asking me to show you how to look at your atsts right? You know my rule no looking at stats!!! LMAO

CJ stats are not live so tomorrow you should have any leads if any once the auction ends if they win you will show the earnings.

Yeah yeah…I know the rule…I just can’t help myself! I gotta see that first one, that’s all I need (ala Steve Martin in The Jerk)…just one result…that’s all I need! lmao

What can I say I would be thrilled with your adsense income right now. I will be hitting almost $100 dollars finally. It took me two years just to get $50. So in the past two months I have almost doubled that.
I still need to figure out how to target higher paying niches for adsense.
$50 a day or better yet $100 a day in Adsense alone would be so cool. It would definitely change my life. I would definitely be able to buy BANS then.
I am off to re-read some information you have on finding those niches.

Denise I am sorry. Please check your email.

    Great video Vic.

First question, Can you get links to individual pages with directory submissions? Is this viewed as improper to submit an internal page of your site to a directory?

Second question, When you are working BANS sites, how do you choose the anchor texts you use for you top level url? It seems that this is so high level that it is hard to narrow down to a targeted keyword. I make my categories and other individual pages very keyword specific, but the high level domain is a little bit of a stretch. What is your experience here? Can you give me a strategy for working the backlink anchor text for the main domain.
