Local Niches Advertising & Advantages

This is a continuation of the videos that i will keep making about local niches. In this one I wanted to start addressing some basic fundamentals that you need to be able to get local advertiser. Local Niches and Flagship Blogs

This is my first vlog post on local niches and flagship blogs. Now for the local niches many to come but I want to start giving you a small view of where we will be going and hopefully also get some info from all of you local niche bloggers to better help you.

As you folks know I am a huge local niche supporter and I hope that all of you make the sweet cash before the end to 2008 so lets start.

We still have more then enough time in 2008 to get things right for all your local niches we just need to start carving the path to success. I hope you folks got a better picture of what I hope for all your local niches.

I know you folks may have tons of questions so please start asking away and hopefully we will have enough questions to make a full vlog post on all your doubts.

Niche Changes

This is a serious emergency post. Folks the last few days a few blogger friends of mine and me have suffered some weird blog de-listings on certain niches. Well really one type of niche anything financial related seems to be affected. Now we are not sure what is happening if a new flag system was implemented in the algorithm or if it has to do with MFA reporting.

This is what I recommend folks. It is all about the footprint. To many niches are using the same theme, I would start using themes that are mainstream in other words themes you see real legit blogs using. I would add contact forms feedburner feeds archives etc etc etc in Other words folks make the blog look as legit as possible I would even go as far as make an about page. In your about page use a photo you can find PLR photos for real cheap. Invent persona’s do not use your real info.

Do not put adsense on a brand new domain wait at least 60 days. Do not put fucking 500 ads big time giveaway. If you do get de-indexed request re-inclusion but before you do make sure you make all the changes I just mentioned and make the site look like a normal daily blogger. ALso make some post and do not keyword stuff make them look like normal post.

If it is a brand new domain do not build a niche from offset build a BANS site for like 3 months and get links for the index Google seems to now care on BANS site I guess they figure that BANS sites provide solutions for Google searches.

I know the last few weeks it has been hard either to reach me or for me to participate here or other forums. I beg your patience as we are in the process of unveiling just huge upgrades to Blogging Zoom and trust me you folks will hugely benefit of what we are about to do. We also feel it will take Blogging Zoom to the way next level. We already left way behind PlugIM and we want to overtake Sphinn next and trust me we are way on our way to do so.

I know I need to make the OpenAds post which I will tomorrow but for now this was way more important as it could greatly reduce your adsense income.

Blogging Zoom Test Case

Folks I have been deep in restoring sites and fixing things at BZ this is why my comment answering and participation has been slow the past week, I apologize for this but rest assure I am almost caught up and we will continue our work here as it is not even close for being finished.

Now this post is made to answer a comment from Todd at the official BZ blog the comment is as follows:

I’ll be honest, looking at several different analytics programs (google, wpstats, mybloglog) I rarely see bloggingzoom as a referrer. And with all the links back to author’s original posts being “nofollowed” I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around how submitting here is helping my (google) search results …

I’m probably just being dense (not an unheard of event … ask my wife).

But perhaps you or Court could post some of sort of an explanation of exactly how our unique submissions to BZ benefit us? (other than the obvious benefit of networking with other like minded bloggers)

Now I answered Todd but in a nut shell. The 350 character rules is established to give you enough space to write the keyword you are working at least 3 times this should be enough to provide the system enough to promote your individual submission enough to rank high on SERPS.

I want to actually show you guys how to do this. So I could had gone for an easy test but I decided to actually work a bitch of a niche so you folks actually see this in action. Below will be the post I would write in my blog:

Getting Mortgage Refinancing

If you are one of those people who have difficulties paying your first mortgage and you are looking for options to help you with this, mortgage refinancing might just as well be the solution for you.

Mortgage Refinancing is what usually financial experts recommend leveraging mortgage rates. It is fundamentally paying off your first mortgage and getting a second mortgage. It all sounds easy enough but just as you did on your first mortgage, there are some things you need to consider before going for mortgage refinancing. Fannie Mae, a well-known stockholder owned company that provides guidelines for conforming mortgage loans provides these considerations you need to assess in yourself before considering mortgage refinancing:

- the length of time you think you’ll stay in your house
- the number of years left to pay for the existing mortgage
- the ability to afford the costs involved and,
- the ability to save money while paying the loan

To further see the impact of mortgage refinancing to your financial plans and objectives, many mortgage calculators are available online. There are usually different variants of these depending on the type of mortgage refinancing that you want and need. Some calculators compute whether mortgage refinancing will lessen costs, while others are used for refinancing 2 mortgages. Another calculator can be used to study if mortgage refinancing of one mortgage into two mortgages can lessen costs while a calculator for borrowers enrolled in Adjustable Rate Mortgage who want to refinance in Flexible Rate Mortgage is also available.

Aside from self-assessment and mortgage calculators, it is also recommendable for you to ask advice on mortgage refinancing from your financial adviser and on the lending company where you had your first mortgage.

Ok folks one of the questions that keep coming up with local niches is monetization. Again as we have talked about before monetization is a bitch but with local niches you have more options then with a straight niche blog. Now the question is what are those options.

Local advertising. This is why I say local niches provide you and opportunity to capitalize on your local community for income the bad part with this type is usually you have to first prove yourself in other words get traffic. Now there is kind of shortcut to that and I wanted to give you a hint to see if it works for you.

Now i have already read a few of the local niche bloggers doign reviews of there local restaurants now in a perfect world you would be John Chow and you would be getting paid for that review and eating free. Now why would that local restaurant pay for advertising when you just gave him a free plug? One reason, competition. What will happen is sooner or later you will have tons of reviews of your local restaurants and now when people search in your local market the GEO should kick in and you should become the local authority on restaurant searches of course given you have also worked on links. Now the local restaurant owner says wait a minute yeah my name is on there but I want to showcase my restaurant more. So now the door opens again for recurring income from restaurants and the likes. Folks 125×125 are really good for this you get to sell more space for more money making the inch higher priced. Remember folks this applies to all types of retail or service businesses.

As you folks know Adsense is not a good fit for a blog that is all over the place. So using Adsense on a site wide basis with a local niche blog would be killing your CPC and welcome the world of pricing. Now how then can we still capitalize on Adsense and the CPC, yes we can but in a more sneaky way.

Now you will need the hide category plugin. Now you will go to adwords and you will spend hours using the tools trying to find local keywords that would work in other words your local niche is for Arizona you do a search for Arizona Lawyers etc etc etc now once you find local keyword combinations you write articles for those keywords and you back date them as far a you can. You also make a category that you will hide so the normal readers of the blog would probably not find the article. Now in that post you will put a 300×250 Adsense ad. The concept is folks you regular readers will not click adsense ads and you might also get Stumble or social network traffic this type of traffic will kill your CTR and get you priced. But if you hide the article from your regular readers you can still get the sick money from Adsense.

And the last option generic advertising. In other words travelocity, 21st insurance etc etc etc. Now folks this ads are great but geezzee you need tons of traffic to convert and it frustrates many new people to the business. I have found that it becomes productive at the 30k page views a day till then you are making shit money.

Local Niche Bloggers Support Group

First let me say that I feel extremely proud that I am seeing bloggers seriously make a change in stance and I could see a future much brighter with bloggers reaching mainstream with a serious bang. But we still have a long road ahead and this is the time when most of you need help as you may find yourself in new grounds. In order for quicker progress we need to seriously take to heart working together and helping your fellow niche blogger to control his local niche.

Folks I am about 70% and find myself limited to the time I can spend in front of a computer. Take into consideration the time both Court and me spend on Blogging Zoom a day and the other 200 sites I own and you must understand that my days are very complicated. Plus having four kids and 18 year old in college folks I need to make sure daddy brings home the bacon cause college is expensive LMAO. So I also need to take time to tend my sites and as I was taking to Justin a few days ago that currently I have about 20 PR3 domains that are just sitting because I have not had the time to at least put up a BANS site.

My point folks I need al the niche bloggers to start helping each other starting today. I have set up a forum that will be for the local niche bloggers to use to place questions now we have a few of the new bloggers that are new to the whole process so they may have some noob question. Please folks come and look at the forums a couple of times a day just like me and Court will do to help answer questions. The faster a blogger has his doubt taken care of he can continue his progress and we want to make sure that we move forward as fast as possible.

Now Court and me had made two sites to help bloggers we had not released them because we where running some test and lack of time but some time this week I will point you toward the sites. One is an Article Directory that we will let you put 3 anchored links. Now this Article Directory will be only for bloggers so the quality of the material will be highly monitored in other words we want to make sure that Google gives you the best juice possible for your anchored links. Many article directories are worthless due to the many affiliate shit articles and Google considers this almost as spam so the links are really not that good. The second is a bit cooler as it is a sort of Local Niche Blogger Association where we will use just one page which currently holds a PR3 and we will use it for all the local niche bloggers giving you an anchored PR3 legit link to your index of your local niche blog.

We need to figure out a way to get all of you local niche bloggers to communicate in a group setting where you can help each other. Folks this is crucial because you folks need to support each other like it is the last day of the world. You folks need to comment on each others blog as much as possible remember Google loves activity on a page so the more you support each other the more all of you will gain authority and raise in SERPS.

I was thinking that you should make sure you have added each other on Blogging Zoom as friends and make sure you support each other by Zooming your submissions. Remember since you will have the Blogging Zoom button on your blog you want it to have as many Zooms as possible give your blog and story more authority. Now I was speaking with Monika yesterday we have many cool things coming for Blogging Zoom including a complete new look and you will have a much prettier Zoom button on your page plus it will be made Ajax so when people visit your post if they are already registered to Blogging Zoom they will not have to leave your age to Zoom your post, they will just click on th button and the number will change. Also support your buddies submissions in BZ by commenting.

In other words folks starting today start adding each other as fiends at Blogging Zoom and start using the messaging system to communicate with each other. Make a tight group folks make it the local niche bloggers against the rest the more of you he stronger and faster you will all grow.

If you are a local niche blog in Australia make a post about your friend who has a local niche blog in New York folks think about this when some one flies from AU to NY do you think it would be beneficial to have a site to go to learn about the place and see from areal local point of view information on restaurants and the likes and now this opens the window for more local advertising on your blog. And the same thing goes from NY to AU.

As many of you have noticed one of the things I am constantly reminding everybody is to work together. The more friends you folks make with each other the faster all of you grow.

Make $25k In 2008 I Challenge You!

Well folks today is Jan 13 2008 and my question to you is would you like to make $25k in 2008 guaranteed? I think we still need things to touch and things you need to learn but you have enough to start your new venture the right way and we still have enough time in 2008 to make some cash as you can see I did not say make serious cash as I do not find $25k real money especially with the cost of living today, but I know that many of you are barely making $100.00 from your websites now so an extra $25k should be a welcome thing.

By now you have to be asking ok and who’s dick do I have to suck to make that extra 25k, luckily enough their is no dick sucking or a pencil up the ass to make the money. All you have to do is what we have been telling you since day one but now I will help you in the process.

I have been telling you folks that your local niche should be a must in your portfolio and now with this PR update it just drives my point even farther then I could have expected. So I am challenging you to start your niche today and I will tell you how all of us here will help each other.

First I want to tell you my view on blogging so you understand me and the reason behind Blogging Zoom a bit better. I believe Blogging is still in diapers even though many have though that the blogging craze might be at it’s peak. The fact is that the power of bloggers has been lost on people starting blogs about blogging and making money, folks imagine if all those blogs instead where local niche blogs, I ask you imagine how many times you would find front pages of Google cluttered with blogs speaking about a particular subject.

I think bloggers could be the most powerful media period. The local blogger could go to a local Fred Thompson showing with his digital cam and in a matter of hours have an online real description of what happened where their maybe no considerations like advertising and corporate control of the information. Imagine a local blogger where their may be a protest of some sort and now you are the voice that the large media outlets did not want to promote. Folks the power the blogger has is unimaginable but for quite sometime it has been wasted on how to get to the first page of Blogging Zoom post and how to game Digg.

The time has arrived for bloggers to show their strength to show the little guy can be just as powerful as the famous rich guy, but the question is who is willing to believe this. Why not make money and at the same time make a difference why not scream instead of just whisper. The combination of how Google looks at blogs and the need for new relevant information gives us an advantage compared to every other fucking media out their but again I ask you do you want to waste this power writing how great Tweeter is?

This is what I propose. I know most of you have not even bought a local niche domain but now it is time to put up or shut up. Folks I did the math and making 25k should be a breeze with your local niche blog now the larger your core base of readers the more opportunity you will have to increase the income but even in a small community of 5k people 25k is more then doable due to the reach of the external trying to find information from you the local.

So this is what you will do and what I will do. Go buy a local niche domain try to incorporate the obvious local news words like gazette, chronicle, post, news, etc etc etc get a news theme I have recommended before Blog Oh Blog V2.0 it is free once you got the blog going down the line you can buy a commercial theme but it is important you start with a news theme from day one. Make sure you do enough research to find the perfect market start some in your searches maybe start with a sector of your city and expand all the way to county and city. Do not worry if you see if a few blogs look at their PR and look at what they talk about if they are a generic subject you will still kick their ass do not worry about competition I ask you how many people are writing for blogging which on has 45k searches a month and thousands and thousands of blogs but yet you are writing about it having 5 blogs for competition should be a joke compared to what you are doing now.

You will not use adsense the CPC will be all over the place so you will use a combination of generic advertising I will make a post about this type of advertising. You will not be fucking placing 500 ads you will be very focused on the advertising and selective on what you will be using you will be setting yourself up from the beginning to sell ad space on your site from day one.

You will be looking at your income on a yearly basis and not on a daily basis. This is one of the biggest factors why people get frustrated and quit on an online business, sometimes days go by with out me even looking at my stats and looking at my affiliate accounts to see if I made any money I do not concentrate on making money I concentrate on building my sites the money comes automatically. It might take months to build a profitable site but ask Frank at OpTempo how a site he has out of nowhere started having more and more organic traffic and making him money. So folks change your mentality stop looking at your adsense earnings and logging into your affiliate account the same time you wasted doing that was the time you could have used to get links.

Now I have a domain that I will be building just to create anchored links to all the local niche bloggers and these anchored links will be with the intention of giving you authority on local news second folks you need to unite in one common goal and help each other you need to stop the self centered bitch mentality. You will submit all your post to Blogging Zoom and all of you will not only Zoom your fellow bloggers submission but you will visit their sites and make comments so when the real local readers reach your fellow bloggers blog they will see not a brand new site but a site that already has readership and they will want to participate. YOU FUCKING NEED TO HELP EACH OTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!! you will use the Blogging Zoom button in every post this will give your blog also more credibility since you will all be Zooming each other you will have Zoom counts on your post again when the new readers start reaching your blog they will see credibility. Now I will not only be promoting your Blogging Zoom submissions but I will also help you promote your individual post on your blogs. Now because these will not be your typical niche blog you will not be that keyword focused, you will use keywords inside your post but more in an organic nature but your submission to Blogging Zoom is the one you will submit with the Google traffic in mind so you will write the submission keyword stuffing it and asking the reader to come and visit your blog to read the complete article.

You will need to focus on many subjects on your local niche blog but I can tell you that if you write about local school sports local weather and local politics you will get national readership I consistently see how on a bad weather day local news sites get more traffic then national sites so if you are driving to work and see a horrible accident because of the weather take five minutes when you get to work and write a quick post on how i95 their is a bad accident because of flooding and people should take such and such measures to get to work now you also need to promote it locally like I mention on Your Local Niche Market .

Folks if you listen to me and do as I say and apply all the things Court and Grizz have taught you, I can assure you huge results because even though right now I have not mentioned it once you get local keyword autority I will teach you how to write local articles that will trigger Geo Adsense Tracking and you will use in certain post Adsense that will bring you the easy $20 clicks but before we get their first we need to actually build the local niche blog and until we get you local keyword authority you will use generic advertising which I will discuss in a later post today.

I challenge you people get of your fucking ass and leave the excuses in 2007 and choose success for 2008.
