Geotargeting is based on the IP address of your users. So, say one page of your site is about Spain, and a user from Japan is viewing it. That user will see AdWords ads targeted to 1) a Japanese audience and 2) the text based content of the site. The advertiser chooses which countries they would like to target. A user in Canada might see a different set of ads. Now this was a broad example but the most common and profitable is local cities in the US.

Some scraper sites are created for monetizing the site using advertising programs such as Google AdSense. In such case, they are called Made for AdSense sites or MFA. This is also a derogatory term used to refer to websites that have no redeeming value except to get web visitors to the website for the sole purpose of clicking on advertisements.

Made for AdSense sites are considered sites that are spamming search engines and diluting the search results by providing surfers with less-than-satisfactory search results. The scraped content is considered redundant to that which would be shown by the search engine under normal circumstances had no MFA website been found in the listings.

In relation to a past post I was doing some research on my own sites to answer some comments and sure enough it hit me that I was not applying the same basics that I preach. Of course I am currently reworking my Adsense niches and making them look the way that best Adsense has worked for me.

Adsense is really tricky and one of those tricks is the color of the theme you will be using with Adsense also the color of the links.

Most people that make no money with Adsense usually fall in three categories. The first and most are they are using it on the wrong site. The second has to do with no traffic and the last is the CTR.

CTR should increase drastically with this changes I suggest. If you want just try it with a few of your niches and in a month time look at your stats and you should have a non debatable result and you will surely change all your sites to this color combination.

Ok folks had to come out of my doctor imposed rest to see if I can open some minds to a few things I am seeing with you folks who I am mentoring. Let’s start with Adsense is a bitch to nail down. In other words Adsense takes some time to really understand. Adsense is not a throw ads on there and let’s move on. Adsense has many quirks and any of these can get you priced.

Let’s start with the basics understanding how the contextual part works. When your page loads it makes a java call function to the server side of Adsense in return if serves ads that are related to your content based on keyword density. In other words the more of a single keyword that you have the easier the ad serving will be. Now the more time you have a page up the more Adsense can spider your post and get a more specific ad and at the same time the better pricing you get. Now here comes the part that most of you have no idea. Those of us that are stat cruncher, also want to see how many bots visit our sites and the frequency of such visit. Now one of the bots that people seem to not know is one called Adsense bot.

If you look at your bot stats you see in different from the standard Google bot you do not get visited everyday and the frequency is just a turtle pace compared to the normal Google bot. When you get this bot you get a final pricing on each individual page. The thing that is really fucked is you will see sometimes the bot come in and only spider a few pages at a time, do not ask me why I have no fucking idea why it works that way it just does.

Now folks Adsense changes are gradual and not instantaneous in other words folks you really need to start having some patience you can not expect in a few days of implementing things of a sudden burst clicks and money. Folks Adsense is a whole different world and if you are working a niche where you will be using Adsense you need to be committed and focused on Adsense.

You can not have one million ads on a page besides Adsense and have a high CTR think about this again, PEOPLE YOU CAN NOT HAVE A FUCKING MILLION ADS ON A PAGE and expect to have a high CTR. Now the lower your CTR the more shit ads you get. Think about it does it not make sense that if you where advertising you would want to have your ads show on a page where people actually click on them because they are well placed?

The more options you have with ads the lower your overall CTR will be there have been many studies about this and it is what it is. I am not going to get into a fucking debate about it. The more ads you have the lower your overall CTR will be!! So have a commitment to Adsense if you are going to use it and remove as many ads as you can.

The way I work all my niches. I have one 468×60 under the title and also one 468×60 at the end of the post just like this site except they are Adsense ads. Now I have one 300×250 top left inline post. This Adsense ad is where most people start there post with an image I have one 300×250 right there. And finally I have one 300×250 Affiliate ad exactly where you see it in this post.

Ok so now this is the mentality behind it. A person searches Google and finds you post he clicks on it and the first thing he will read is the title this is the first opportunity for the person to see something on your ads that catches your attention. Now he starts to read your post and if he feels is either shit or he has already read the same info he will want to click out and leave your page. If he wants to click out and leave you will hope he is a lazy bastard and instead of going back to Google to search again he will look at the links on his left and see a related link on your Adsense ads to something he is looking for. Now he does not click out and he is actually reading your whole post, so we did not get him with the 468×60 of the 300×250 folks by now you have almost no chance to get him to click he is probably ad blind so instead of wasting another 300×250 Adsense ad we will go for the remote possibility that a 300×250 will peek his curiosity and this time you may actually make some good money on the remote opportunity that he actually clicks on it. No he does not click on that we will give it one last big chance we will try to get him with the bottom 468×60 if you wrote a correct post by the time he finishes reading your post he has not found his solution yet, FOLKS THIS IS CRUCIAL!!!! IF YOU SOLVED HIS PROBLEM HE DOES NOT NEED TO CLICK ANY FUCKING ADS!!!! So let’s assume you made a correct post which is not spam but indeed is good fluff but he still has a problem and needs more info now he finishes reading and he sees two links that if you chose a correct niche all your ads should be related so now we hope he finally clicks. This is how I do it and why. I do not put ads on my sidebars I want him focused on my Adense ads.

Now folks let’s see what happens with pricing. The top ads on your page have the higher price in other words the higher in the page they click the more money you make. The top 468×60 will give you the highest CPC the lower 468×60 will give you the lowest CPC. So folks make sure you put ads that have a real opportunity to click. Ads on the front page stat wise have the less clicks most people that did not click on any ads inside your post will now go to your front page and just look and leave the stats say at least 80% of people who come in an organic search that click to the front page spend less then 3 seconds and leaves to make a search. SO if you have ads in the front page you are now getting more page views and lowering your CTR and getting priced worst. My niche sites I so everything possible to maintain and CTR of 3% or more. Right now my niche network as of this writing is running for the month at 6.23%.

People I am seeing great post on your niches and this is the biggest problem you have. People are actually reading your post and you are resolving there problem, you are getting no clicks and your CTR is getting so low you are getting the lower end of the spectrum when it comes to CPC. Second problem I am seeing I do not know if you folks understand that you have to focus that high CPC keyword in your post. I am seeing that you folks are not really focusing your post on that one keyword. Folks all my niches are a few inches away from becoming spam. I know when people read the post they have to ask themselves why the fuck do I cam repeating the exact same words “payroll processing services” and I do everything possible to incorporate as many times as possible before getting flagged as spam.

Folks I will keep writing about Adsense later because this is a huge fucking topic and even then their are things I still say what the fuck?

If webmasters want to monetize their websites, the great way to do it is through Adsense. There are lots of webmasters struggling hard to earn some good money a day through their sites. But then some of the “geniuses” of them are enjoying hundreds of dollars a day from Adsense ads on their websites. What makes these webmasters different from the other kind is that they are different and they think out of the box.

The ones who have been there and done it have quite some useful tips to help those who would want to venture into this field. Some of these tips have boosted quite a lot of earnings in the past and is continuously doing so.

Here are some 5 proven ways on how best to improve your Adsense earnings.

1. Concentrating on one format of Adsense ad. The one format that worked well for the majority is the Large Rectangle (336X280). This same format have the tendency to result in higher CTR, or the click-through rates. Why choose this format out of the many you can use? Basically because the ads will look like normal web links, and people, being used to clicking on them, click these types of links. They may or may not know they are clicking on your Adsense but as long as there are clicks, then it will all be for your advantage.

2. Create a custom palette for your ads. Choose a color that will go well with the background of your site. If your site has a white background, try to use white as the color of your ad border and background. The idea to patterning the colors is to make the Adsense look like it is part of the web pages. Again, This will result to more clicks from people visiting your site.

3. Remove the Adsense from the bottom pages of your site and put them at the top. Do not try to hide your Adsense. Put them in the place where people can see them quickly. You will be amazed how the difference between Adsense locations can make when you see your earnings.

4. Maintain links to relevant websites. If you think some sites are better off than the others, put your ads there and try to maintaining and managing them. If there is already lots of Adsense put into that certain site, put yours on top of all of them. That way visitor will see your ads first upon browsing into that site.

5. Try to automate the insertion of your Adsense code into the webpages using SSI (or server side included). Ask your web administrator if your server supports SSI or not. How do you do it? Just save your Adsense code in a text file, save it as “adsense text”, and upload it to the root directory of the web server. Then using SSI, call the code on other pages. This tip is a time saver especially for those who are using automatic page generators to generate pages on their website.

These are some of the tips that have worked well for some who want to generate hundreds and even thousands on their websites. It is important to know though that ads are displayed because it fits the interest of the people viewing them. So focusing on a specific topic should be your primary purpose because the displays will be especially targeted on a topic that persons will be viewing already.

Note also that there are many other Adsense sharing the same topic as you. It is best to think of making a good ad that will be somewhat different and unique than the ones already done. Every clickthrough that visitors make is a point for you so make every click count by making your Adsense something that people will definitely click on.

Tips given by those who have boosted their earnings are just guidelines they want to share with others. If they have somehow worked wonders to some, maybe it can work wonders for you too. Try them out into your ads and see the result it will bring.

If others have done it, there is nothing wrong trying it out for yourself.

To know why Adsense is essential for your content sites is to know first how this works.

The concept is really simple, if you think about it. The publisher or the webmaster inserts a java script into a certain website. Each time the page is accessed, the java script will pull advertisements from the Adsense program. The ads that are targeted should therefore be related to the content that is contained on the web page serving the ad. If a visitor clicks on an advertisement, the webmaster serving the ad earns a portion of the money that the advertiser is paying the search engine for the click.

The search engine is the one handling all the tracking and payments, providing an easy way for webmasters to display content-sensitive and targeted ads without having the hassle to solicit advertisers, collect funds, monitor the clicks and statistics which could be a time-consuming task in itself. It seems that there is never a shortage of advertisers in the program from which the search engine pulls the Adsense ads. Also webmasters are less concerned by the lack of information search engines are providing and are more focused in making cash from these search engines.

The first reason why Adsense is essential for content sites is because it already has come a long way in understanding the needs of publishers and webmasters. Together with its continuous progression is the appearance of more advanced system that allows full ad customization. Webmasters are given the chance to choose from many different types of text ad formats to better complement their website and fit their webpage layout.

The different formatting enables the site owners the possibility of more click through from visitors who may or may not be aware of what they are clicking on. It can also appeal to the people visiting thus make them take that next step of looking up what it is all about. This way the people behind the Adsense will get their content read and making profit in the process.

The second reason is the ability of the Adsense publishers to track not only how their sites are progressing but also the earnings based on the webmaster-defined channels. The recent improvements in the search engines gives webmasters the capability to monitor how their ads are performing using customizable reports that has the capacity to detail page impressions, clicks and click-through rates. Webmasters and publishers can now track specific ad formats, colors and pages within a website. Trends are also easily spotted.

With the real-time reporting at hand, the effectiveness of the changes made will be assessed quickly. There would be time to sort out the contents that people are making the most clicks on. The ever-changing demands would be met while generating cash for the webmasters and publishers. The more flexible tools are also allowing webmasters to group web pages by URL, domain, ad type or category, which will provide them some accurate insight on which pages, ads and domains are performing best.

The last and final reason is that the advertisers have realized the benefits associated having their ads served on targeted websites. Thus increasing the possibility that a prospective web surfer will have an interest in their product and services. All because of the content and its constant maintenance. As opposed to those who are no using Adsense in their sites, they are given the option of having other people do their content for them, giving them the benefit of having successful and money-generating web sites.

Adsense is all about targeted content, the more targeted your content is, the more target the search engines’ ads will be. There are some web masters and publishers who are focused more on their site contents and how best to maintain them rather than the cash that the ads will generate for them. This is the part where the effectiveness is working its best.

There was a time when people were not yet aware of the money to be achieved from advertisements. The cash generated only came into existence when the webmasters and publishers realized how they can make Adsense be that generator. In those days, the content were the most important factors that is taken quite seriously. It still is. With the allure of money, of course.
