Million Dollars and One Pencil

If I told you that I had a magic secret that could guarantee one million dollars for you and the only thing you had to do was stick a pencil up your ass would you do it? Now I have preached and preached to you all that the money is not in how to blogs and make money online niche it is in the niches you would never think of, this is where the money is and the best part you do not have to stick a pencil up your ass. But yet I have this strong feeling that some of you are listening to me but most are not.

You know one of the things that really made me click with Grizz so quick was the fact that I think we both have this natural sarcastic bitch sense of humor that some people do not get and the second is we think very much the same when it comes to what makes money online. But yet if you read Grizz last post Let’s Make Money Right Now you will read that he bitches about the same thing as I do that the money is not in the make money niche but yet more peeps keep writing about it every day.

Folks I say this from the bottom of my heart. If you have not bough a pre-owned domain yet and started making a niche blog away from the mainstream, I ask you what the fuck are you waiting for?

If you have not done it yet, this is my advice to start right now. Sit down and write down 20 things you like and would love to write about. And NO, BLOGGING AND MAKING MONEY DOES NOT FUCKING COUNT!!! I am looking for shit like, basket weaving, paint ball, bowling, taking nude pictures of your neighbor, flowers, go-karts stuff like this, now take each thing and look up how well searched those keywords are and how much competition in adsense there is for those keywords.

Start your blog put it on auto-pilot and move to the next. This is simple folks it is not complicated. But if your still writing about make money online and you have yet started your niche blog I swear I just do not know how to say it.

Yesterday a very dear friend was talking to me on Skype and he was worried I was giving away to many secrets and this would provide competition for us down the road. Now I love this kid he is a go getter and he is busting his ass trying to become a serious marketer but I told him buddy do not worry because the fact is 90% of the people that read what I write will not do a fucking thing. They will comment and say wow that is great thanks but when it comes time to implemented they will not do it. Because at the end of the day, they will find excuses like I can not afford this tool or I do not know anything about roaches or what ever excuse they can find. As long as we do not accept responsibility in our lives the easier it is to say I failed because of this and that, and it was not my fault.

Take my challenge and start making money today, do not think about it just go get it. Some people think dreams are meant to be I say dreams are meant to be made. You make your dreams come true, with hard work and the will to make it.

If you wrote on your list taking nude pictures of your neighbor I have to say YOU ARE A FUCKING PERVERT and you should not be near a computer. So go get a job at the Piggly Wiggly and do not come back to this site.

Million Dollars and One Pencil | Blogger Unleashed…

Million Dollars and One Pencil this says it all. I decided to write a story how one million dollars can be made by using one pencil in the most unusual way. It is crazy but this is almost a love story and I truly think is its one of my best post yet. M…

Now I want you folks to tell me what did I do with the title and with my submission in Blogging Zoom? What technique did I use?

    Nice linkbait title.

    Hey Vic,

After our talk on skype the other day I went and got my first PR 4 pre-owned domain. Then I read Griz “let’s make some money “post and I went straight away and started a new niche blogger blog. That was a little over 24 hours hours ago.

In the last 24 hours I’ve had 2,000 unique hits to that blog which (un-fucking) believable. :-)

I realize it isn’t 20,000 or even more hits yet, but I think for a very first trial it is pretty damn good.

Everything I learned from both of you in the last week or so I put into this blog and look the these results.

    Now I have some questions:
    1) I slapped some quick Google Adsense on this blog but realize that it won’t make me tons of money and I’m monitoring that for those threaded community ads Griz was talking about. I also put some affiliate stuff on it like (shoes, hand bags, jewelry, ringtones, etc) (the site is aimed mainly at teen girls and women.

Is there anything in particular that you recommend to advertise to make some money on 2,000 uniques?

Also, what target should I aim for in income with this number?

    2) I was using the free Stats Counter to check my hits but it stopped working at 500 (despite this, it still counts but without me being able to see where the hits came from)

I also installed Google Analytics but for some reason it doesn’t seem to track any numbers despite the fact that it shows the live tracking tick in the admin section.

What tracking software do you recommend if possible free but no problem to pay if need be to track potentially 100,000 plus uniques on several blogs per month?

Also, do Google blogs end up in the sandbox, or should I hammer them now with multiple posts a day for the first couple of weeks?

Honestly, I’m wondering what I wasted all this time for since being online and now things are unreal with all I learn. Just to show you, my existing blog about blogging has been online since about 8 month and I now average around 800 uniques a day.

To see 2,000 uniques on a brand new blog in just 24 hours is out of this world.

The potential of it all makes me sick in the stomach with flutters.

Since I can’t kiss you I give you the biggest cyber hug ever (don’t worry, purely platonic since I’m also happily married) LOL

And sorry for the long post, the more I see this bigger picture, the more questions come up.

    1. Vic on 20.12.2007 at 07:42 (Reply)

You just put a huge big ass smile on my face that is just wonderful.

Stats: hotscripts.com you find tons of open source stats see which you like the most. I use Mint a lot really basic and simple but for Blogger it would not work. For Blogger we could sure appreciate the Blogger expert Grizz to give us better options.

Adsense: I love Adsense for niche high paying keywords you just have to make sure you are not getting 3 cent ads or the famous donation ads because if you are your whole adsense network will be prices. So be really careful where you decide to use adsense.

Blogger and sandbox: Grizz again should be able to clarify this. I have only used Blogger blogs to make spam blogs with blog making software so when I use to use blogger I would make thousands of spam blogs in a day and few days later they would be captcha or deleted.

Big cyber hug to you to girl. And this is just way to cool to read this in the morning. Go get them girl. ;)

        @Vic
Did you have much luck with that blogger software creating hundreds of blogs and making any money?

        1. Vic on 20.12.2007 at 14:42 (Reply)

Yes do not use adsense just use Kontera and affiliate ads. BloggerGenerator

There is tons of money in this and all involved in the Black Arts the problem with BH is there is no set and forget income you can make 15k today but if you do not keep working the BH you make no money. I am 39 and just got tired it is very much hard work and I would like one day to just have to look at my online business and not worry that I did not do anything but it is still providing me income.

Again DO NOT USE ADSENSE you will have your account banned at a heartbeat I use Kontera and for what ever reason they seem not to care.

  5. Markk on 20.12.2007 at 07:41 (Reply)

Oh yes, the truth really hurts. No wonder your site got hacked but good to hear you’re back at your farking best. Having read this post, and Grizz’s, Blogger’s free blogs seem to be more attractive to talk about vegan shoes and bags, double-glazed windows, Starbucks groupies, and herbal tea. Getting your drift. Now the big problem is time to achieve all that. Well, Johnny Cash once sang “One piece at a time..”

    1. Vic on 20.12.2007 at 07:44 (Reply)

      Amen Markk,

This is where tools come in. In order to work efficiently you need to have tools. I will make a post about this today.

“vegan shoes and bags” I love it yes indeed I love it.

A PR 2 blog, used mainly for taking part in Blog contests, with a senseless name for a domain. Do you think it would work? I can have it for free.

    1. Vic on 20.12.2007 at 09:31 (Reply)

Costa anything related to Blogging is not profitable there are not enough searches on the subject to really make it so. In this type of niche unless you have a really good gimmick example John Cow or you are an established Name it is just to hard. It takes years to develop enough traffic to make it your worthwhile.

      1. Costa on 20.12.2007 at 09:59 (Reply)

I think my comment got gobbled up just now. If it is just leave it there :-)

What I asked was if it would work if I deleted or archived all the articles there and make it into a blog with another niche. Even if I buy a pre-owned domain, they still have some old stuff in it or don’t they?

  7. Jason A Clark on 20.12.2007 at 09:25 (Reply)

You guys make me want to quit my job, stop taking pictures of my naked neighbor while she’s basket weaving, and start doing some serious blog work…there just aren’t enough hours in the day. I’m going to be up and on the computer 24/7 while I’m on vacation. My wife is going to hate you Vic.

    1. Vic on 20.12.2007 at 09:34 (Reply)

LMAO Well make sure you take really good care and a lot of love to the wife. Would really not want a nice lady mad at me. But we sure need to get you guys rolling to making some money so both you and Mike quit does nasty jobs.

  8. Costa on 20.12.2007 at 09:54 (Reply)

    Vic,

What if I deleted all the articles and make into a blog of another niche? It has less than 50 articles in it I think. Or can i just archive all the old articles and give it a turnaround? Would that help?

    1. Vic on 20.12.2007 at 12:37 (Reply)

Lol you answered on a nested comment above this one ;) I would not do that, if you delete all your info you would have to request a formal de-indexing from Google because you will get a penalty by deliting all your content Google knows that spammers with self autogerating sites behave this way and it will interpret your content dissapiring as something else.

Costa dear friend my best advice is to try to find a pre-owned domain for under $20 with some PR hopefully over 3 and try to work a good niche at the same time keep working the blog you have and use thats sites PR to put a link to your new site so you can boos the PR on it.

  9. Grizzly on 20.12.2007 at 10:40 (Reply)

    Morning Vic,

I’ll say this my friend your site is addictive - the first thing I check while having my morning coffee. I have found I check the comments all day long as well and I don’t think I’m the only one.

Thanks again for the nod and I am going to be posting a few tips regarding Blogger to help the Blogspot crowd out and I have been monitoring your readers questions as well. I’ll let you know when it’s finished.

I gotta say Vic, I’m happy for you - this blog is hot and getting hotter - every bloggers dream come true and for those paying attention to what and how you are doing things - this blog is a template for success.

Sadly most won’t do the work as you said but for those who do like Monika, they will find their lives changing the moment the money starts trickling in. The amount doesn’t matter as much as the fact that you finally see something concrete materialize, after that it’s just a matter of rinse and repeat and suddenly the little trickle becomes a living.

Kudos Vic - you put the fun back into this!

      Hey Grizz,

We found your blog via this blog and now you too are on our RSS reader. We can’t wait to see what words of advice you have regarding Blogger. We have never used Blogspot, only WordPress, so we are not familiar with its nuances.

We are trying to be like Monika and take some action. We have to! We need more money coming in and don’t want to go back to work for the man!

We will keep everyone posted when we have our first success!

Grizz it is a true honor to read this. I have to say compared to what we do every day this blog has become real fun and it is my stress release.

I am so glad that you work blogger a lot because it is embarrassing to say I have never exploited blogger like I should have. And some readers that are on Blogger I feel stupid not to help them even with simple questions.

But now and mmm always my answers to blogger questions that I do not know the answers will be ask Grizz.

I am so happy for Monika this could not had happen to a nicer and sweeter person, I cant wait to her about her first $100 day ;)

To your success buddy and once again thank you for your words and support.

I will take a stab at the question you posed in the first comment.

In your submission to Blogging Zoom, you used the keyword phrase ” Million Dollars and One Pencil” once in the title and three times in the body.

    Am I anywhere close? :)

Man, we are trying to absorb all of the great information on this young blog. Good thing we found it before there was more info or else we would feel more overwhelmed than we already do!

Today we start doing keyword research to start a new niche blog using your techniques and to drive more traffic to Lizard Wisdom!

  14. Terry Didcott on 20.12.2007 at 12:54 (Reply)

Damn I burned another day searching through those domains at GoDaddy - I got 2 PR6 domains one is a shit name but I’m going to burn it with paid reviews make a couple of grand and throw it away. The other one is a better name I’ll put a good niche blog on it when I take possession in a few days or so. I’ve already written the first ten posts for that one so it’ll get off to a good start and get high in the serps fast.

90%? More like 99%. Nearly everyone who reads this will do nothing about it, so don’t worry about giving the crown jewels away.

I love this shit! Like Monika, I’ve dropped everything else to work on this stuff full time. All this new info has just blown my head off! I just made a new crap blogger blog and put it on top of page one out of 4,000 sites for a long keyword I just found and only 3 shit posts. I just LMAO too!!!!

Here’s a question: I’m frigging a MySQL database (wordpress blog) to back-date it so it looks like its 3 months old when its really a new blog. What I’m thinking for the shit domain is register it with PayPerPost and take all their $100 reviews until Google stops me. Does anyone know if PPP are clever enough to know I’ve changed the dates…

I know it’s a short term deal and I know I’d be better off using the PR6 domain for better long term stuff but I just can’t resist shitting on the whole paid review thing if I can pull off the trick with PPP! And think of all the expired domains I could buy with the extra cash!!!

    Terry

    1. Vic on 20.12.2007 at 12:59 (Reply)

Terry I think it should work the only thing that I is that they do a copyscape test so if your old post is still showing on another of your domains they may catch it. But I had actually though about this trick of buying high PR domains and backdating stuff to get instant PPP approval. The only thing is the lack of Technorati and Alexa that might be a problem but for what I have notice the IZEA people are morons so it might work.

      1. Terry Didcott on 20.12.2007 at 13:27 (Reply)

No problem - the posts are not up anywhere, just on my PC I’m still waiting to take ownership of the domains.

The technorati/alexa might be a problem as you said, but then they are also desperate for high PR blogs to sign up thanks to Google scaring the shit out of everyone all the old posties have either lost their PR or pulled out, so they might just turn a blind eye…

Plus there’s some nice juicy posts to be taken so I HAVE to go for it. Shit if they approve the blog I’m $$$s in - you never know until you try something - if it doesn’t work, then I use the domain in a niche - win-win hahaha!! ;-)

        Terry

        1. Vic on 20.12.2007 at 13:31 (Reply)

It is a no brainer to think about it let’s say you did not find a close out but you find one in the regular auctions that is a PR5 and had to pay $80.00 but than get 600 in the life of the PR update and you get bitch slapped to a 2 who care out of a 80 investment you made a 520 profit and still you can resell the domain now with the site and cash out even more.

          1. Terry Didcott on 20.12.2007 at 14:29 (Reply) (Comments won't nest below this level)

Exactly my train of thought! And there’s plenty more fish in the sea which makes it all the more reason to just do it! This rocks!

            Terry :-)

  15. Elliott on 20.12.2007 at 12:59 (Reply)

    Vic, Great points!

So, where do I find those PR4 websites for sale?

Also, I do think the blogger blogs will get in the sandbox. I have 2 niche sites right now on blogger that are/were doing well.

One of them is slowly making progress up the serps, the other was on page 1 and 2 for the keywords, and now it has disappeared.

Any ideas on how to get out of the sandbox, or what my next step should be?

    1. Vic on 20.12.2007 at 13:13 (Reply)

Elliot you will not be buying sites just the domain if you go for a site you will be paying big money for stuff you can do yourself. Go HERE and start at the close out section the only problem is that this a huge time consuming task but with patience the payoff is huge. Now you have to copy and paste each domain you like on a browser and open it up see if it has PR if not move on.

  16. Trent Brownrigg on 20.12.2007 at 13:34 (Reply)

I fucking love this blog! Yes, I had to throw the F-bomb in there since this is the only place I ever get to use it online. Actually I’m pretty sure that is the first time I have ever used it online! You’re bringing the best out of me. ;-)

Anyway, I have been an internet marketer for almost 5 years. Full time for the past three. I make a pretty good living online but I can tell you right now that I have learned more from this blog and Grizzly’s blog lately than I have in all my other years making money online.

As per you and Grizzly’s suggestions this week, I have created 4 new crappy blogger blogs around certain themes. Still trying to find better ways to monetize them but I see some great potential with them.

Total work has been about three hours creating all the blogs and I can see right now that I will make more money from them than I do from sites I have had for years and spent countless hours on.

@Grizzly - I can’t wait to see the tips you said you will be posting to help blogspot users.

@Vic - Keep the posts coming!

Hey Trent - is this not just crazy!

I’ve spent all year trying to nurture my sites the right way working my ass off to drag a couple of them up to PR3, then I find Vic and the world implodes - I spend a day or two rummaging round a virtual garage sale and end up with two PR6 sites and I’m only $30 out of pocket!

      How cool is that!

      Terry

      1. Trent Brownrigg on 21.12.2007 at 01:04 (Reply)

Ok Terry, I doubt you are going to answer this but it would be AWESOME if you did…

Where the hell are you finding these PR6 domains for so cheap?

        1. Terry Didcott on 21.12.2007 at 11:23 (Reply)

Hey Trent, of course I’ll answer - I never keep anything to myself as I believe in sharing the knowledge!

Well, I’d love to say “Easy…” but it’s a combination of dogged sifting through 100’s of domain names and luck.

I found them on GoDaddy domain auctions, just like Vic.

To piss you off even more, I just bought another PR6 domain for $5 plus $10 registration today.

When you go to GoDaddy auctions, there are a few options you can search on but in the “price” field I click the link and it sorts all the domains by price - cheapest to most expensive. There are hundreds of domains that are “buy now” for $5. Then I sift through for names that catch my eye and then check them in a new tab - the Google toolbar shows the PR - most have nothing but some have some PR.

When I found the PR6 this morning, there was even a PR7 for the taking, but there were people bidding on it and the price was rising, so I’ll watch that one and see how high it goes over the next few days.

The PR6 that I’m going to try to use for paid reviews was such a crap name that I just had to check it out from curiosity - that’s how I found it was PR6 so I bought it just for the hell of it.

Then I started looking at some other crap names but the other two I got are actually quite usable niche domain names - one of them has a couple of PR8 .edu backlinks pointing at it (one from Harvard of all places!) so I know I can develop it to PR7 with some good on-site SEO, maybe even PR8 who knows - Jeez, what will that be worth in 6 months time?

This is just soooo cool. I can’t say thank you enough to Vic for putting me on to this!

          Terry :-)

OK, now that I have killed waaaay too much time upgrading all of my WordPress plug-ins and upgrading Lizard Wisdom to WordPress 2.3.1, I can finally breath. I was a bit apprehensive to find out if this would work without any problems. Seems to have gone fine!

I just finished looking at Grizz’s Beginner Blogger Basics blog he did earlier this year. He was talking about a product called Brainstorm Generator. Is this any good, or is it a POS? Vic, have you ever used it?

    -Marshall

    1. Vic on 21.12.2007 at 13:10 (Reply)

Never used it but if Grizz says it is good I will be buying it. As soon as I get some time where I can site down and read I will buy it and give my 2 cents but again if Grizz says to get it, it has to be a needed tool.

      1. Lizard Wisdom on 21.12.2007 at 13:16 (Reply)

My only concern is that in the video they have showing its use, it implies that it pulls information from the Yahoo Overture tool, which as far as I know is now defunct. Maybe they have updated Brainstorm Generator to use something else, or maybe I am just confused.

Hopefully Grizz can comment on this…

That’s me too - see my reply to Trent about the domain hunting. This is extremely addictive and time consuming but I love it!

I’ve been preparing a wordpress blog for nuking PPP when I take possession of the crap PR6 domain so it will already be “aged” by about 4 months with regular posts by the time I get the nameservers swapped over. Hehe!

I figured the highest paying reviews seem to be on either health/beauty, lifestyle/sports/recreation, so my posts are covering all of them so I can cherry pick the highest payers and hammer it until Google slaps me down.

It’s just awsome doing this deliberately and not giving a shit about the domain - throw it away when it’s used up and just replace it with another one. LMFAO!!!

PS: That’s the same as LMAO with the F word inserted hahahahahahahahahahahaha!

        Terry,

That is one cool idea you had there. I would call it genius really and I thank you for mentioning it here. It is so exciting I even reduce my already measly sleeping pattern to some 4.5 hours a night.

It also seems that we are a few hardcore Vic and Grizzly converted here that really do get into action. Hopefully it will all pay off.

I am so happy you folks are starting to get some payoff on the work I can not wait till you folks tell me that now it is paying of with cash.

Yep, that’s the acid test for all this, converting ideas into dollars. I’ll write a nice post for you of how it all goes - good or bad!

@ Terry: OK, I am starting to get the picture about doing this whole find an aged domain thing. Just a question about how you find the backlinks. How is this done?

It is probably something very simple that I have missed, but any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

link:domainname.com now sometimes Google is really slow ading the links so we see them, they are counted as backlinks but we can not see them, there is a reason for that which I will not go into.

Yahoo shows links first so you can go to yahoo search and search http://domianname.com

This way you can see what they where using the domain for.

I forgot to also do a search on google for donainname.com with out the http this will give you additional places the domain has been named

Duh, I knew that! I use Yahoo Site Explorer (which will find the backlinks) for Lizard Wisdom, so there is no reason you can’t do it for other domains.

Sometimes you can’t see the forest for the trees! :)

Here is the link, in case anybody cares:

Marshall Vic’s right that’s one way but I was using SEO Elite to get the backlinks and it shows them from all the major SEs plus their PR which is important as it helps to know how many high ranking sites are linking to your domain.

I’ve heard many people slagging SEO Elite off, but I find it has its uses!

At the end of the day the rest is shit. If does not produce green then what the fuck.

          Vic,

Have you every used SEO Elite? I just checked out the sales page and it looks like it might be pretty useful and save a lot of time.

          What do you think?

    Vic,

I know this comment is coming in way late but since I only found BU recently it is taking me time to get through the posts.

That being said, this has to be the funniest damn post I have ever read. I laughed so hard I cried, my stomach muscles hurt.

Thanks for the humor and all the incredible advice you give out so freely.

    Rhonda
