Why Noobs And Dumb Fucks Can Cost You More Than Money

by Vic on December 23, 2007

I decided to write this post to once again uncover another noob who’s readers can actually get hurt by following the Dumb Fucks advice. We are talking about our resident Dumb Fuck at MixedMarketArts DOT COM Collin LaHay this is the same loser that we wrote on a past post and has on his about’

I share the best internet marketing tips to increase website traffic and make money online. Learn the most heavily guarded and effective internet marketing tips today, for free!” Now let’s see if his tips are really free.

Collin “I am a Dumb Fuck” LaHay wrote a post named, Who else wants to make money with proxies? where he shows the incredible amount of money he made with this same scheme. Now he claims in two months he made about $2,000.00 from this incredible venture. He is selling this idea to his readers as a money maker.

Ok now let’s see. He claims he bought the domain “unblock.cc” and built it around the keyword “Unblock Myspace” now this idiot is nowhere to be found on the first 50 pages of Google neither open or in quotes so I guess his “heavily guarded and effective internet marketing tips” really do not even work for him LMAO. In other words, no folks this fucker did not make one dime from this website and he is out right lying his ass off.

But now let’s say one of his dumb ass readers follow the Dumb Fucks advice and starts a proxy website. Now here come a noob Black Hatter and decides to do an out right clone and link replace to target a high traffic website to cash out for a few hours. Now since the BH noob is a noob he makes a serious mistake and even though he used your brand new proxy site that Collin “I am a Dumb Fuck” LaHay told you would be a good deal, the noob BH did not use an out of country server to host it and to make matters worst he used his own credit card to register the domain. Now what makes matter worst is the noob BH decided he would do this with MSNBC DOT COM and it actually worked, he cloaked it and did a good link job and for 30 minutes he was able to fool Google and diverted 100k hits to his BH site. Success the Black Hatter noob nets with viagra and porn ads 20k for 30 minutes of traffic and now the site got de-indexed.

Let’s see what MSNBC DOT COM would probably do. Using the Online Copyright Infringement Liability Limitation Act they will subpoena the domain and hosting records, they will also have the proxy ip used and will also subpoena all the records of the domain holder and the hosting account and in less then two weeks you will be a co-defendant in a multi-million dollar lawsuit but wait it gets better if you live in the US and they want to use you as an example as they have done in the past you will get indicted with federal charges and will be facing from 5 to 50 years of prison for each count.

But here comes the sweetest part. You get arrested and get sued so what does your lawyer tell you to do, he tells you to make a plea bargain on your federal charges and tell them how and who taught you to do the proxy website and who do you say did it? Yup Collin “I am a Dumb Fuck” LaHay that lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota an is in the jurisdiction of the Federal government. So now the federal government makes a plea bargain with you and they go after Dumb Fuck after they are finished with him your lawyer says ok now let’s pull him into the pending lawsuit we have and try to pass the blame to him and let Collin “I am a Dumb Fuck” LaHay lose all his assets LMAO all his 200 dollars in the bank.

People my point, Dumb Fucks like this can not only cost people money they can cost them there freedom. But again everyday these stupid fucks pop up talking about shit they have no idea and ignorant readers follow there dumb ass advice.

When the Online Casino Ban came into effect one of my dear Black Hat friends was caught right in the middle. At the time he lived in Montana in a 3 million dollar home just living a great life but about 80% of his income came from online casino affiliate programs and his sites had about 90% US demographics he decided to interpret the law on his own terms and for reasons I have never discussed with him in a matter of months he was indicted by the federal government. Following his lawyers advice he made a plea bargain and now is waiting to testify against what the Feds understand are the big boys in the game. It cost him seizure of over 90% of his assets and a five year probation. Folks this is another reason I said bye bye to that world.

When you go to a site like this Dumb Fuck has and you read some stupid shit like that post, step back and ask yourself is there a way this service can be used in an illegal matter where my ass can be also served up in a platter.

    Vic,

It is too easy to make money using the techniques that you and Court discuss. In other words, it is too easy to make money in a legal fashion, why would you want to risk doing something illegal and get your ass thrown in the slammer?

Then again, you could get some free room and board out of the deal! :)

Yup this is why I left the BH world and now concentrate on working the things you folks know I work. There is no reason to place yourself in a situation where it will bite you in the ass. In the past two months 5 torrent site owners have being indicted by the US federal courts but once the torrent site niche was a goldmine, it is still a goldmine if you are willing to risk your freedom. Noobs do not take time to actually look at the shit they write and what the serious shit it can be. They just want to be the next John Chow it is laughable and sad at the same time.

Thanks for the great example of how the legal system works in regards to BH and their sites.

I sure am glad you joined the good side and are sharing all of this info with us Vic!

Good stuff Vic. Sorry in advance for the long post but every time I post about this issue I get zero replies and you seem to be able to shed some light. I do realize your post was talking about an extreme BH issue and does not relate to much of what I'll be discussing. I use a few examples from your posts but they are only there to help me understand this issue better. In no way am I trying to bash or attack you. I understand if this post is to long for the comments but I would love to discuss this with you via email or skype sometime.

I've tried to research the liability I take on as an affiliate but don't know where to look and haven't found any cases of small time affiliates getting sued. (I know Azoogle paid out $1 mil to FL over some ringtone case and some other network had something similar) My original concern was a person or company coming back at the affiliate for promoting a product that caused the person to get hurt, lose money, etc. It would seem the merchant would be at fault since its their product and as an affiliate you are just acting as a salesman. But if you live in the US; people can sue for anything and I would think it would be easier to sue an affiliate than going after a company that has cash and lawyers to hide behind. Whats your thoughts on the liability an affiliate marketer has assuming they are playing by common sense rules? (Although technically we would each have to hire a lawyer specializing in internet law since there is no rule book out there)

    Some things I think about:

-The internet is constantly changing so laws can not keep up plus its all but impossible to prove guilt online. (Obv not in all cases) If you get sued for something online how can a court prove you actually did it? I don't see how records by online providers can be useful since anyone can hack you, change their ip to yours, mis use your unique affiliate id to set you up, send emails from your account, the list goes on. Like an online identity theft of your affiliate business account.

-Why aren't there a million copy right, libel, defamation of character suits going on? Perez Hilton Com makes tons of cash from his site and I doubt he pays for every photo he puts up there.

-How does clicking accept on a TOS agreement bind you legally? You can print out the TOS but who's to say you didn't modify it or the site didn't. Its not a document you have to sign.

-In the BH case you talked about a common person can see that its illegal but where do we go to check up on other things we read. You mention making thousands of blogger blogs to link to squidoo pages. I not sure but I would think this is against blogger's TOS and proablly Squidoos too.

-In your online casino example; how are all the big time pros allowed to be sponsored by these illegal sites and live in the US? They are on the sites every night, talk about it in their blogs and interviews and promote them at all times. Cardplayer Com has tons of online poker affiliate links, you would think they would be shut down too. X governor jesse ventura promotes an online sports book.

-Somehow Google, Yahoo, MSN can have an image search because they only post small photos. Try shrinking copyrighted photos in the brick and motar world and see what happens. Youtube hosts millions of copyrighted videos. Its bull shit, copy right holders have to manually request things be taken down since Youtube is protected by whatever law says they aren't responsible for user content.

You can see I'm a paranoid fuck and would really like to be able to understand these issues better. Thanks.

First Stan no you are not a paranoid fuck. All of your concerns are more then legit concerns. And most if not all your mentions are areas where a potential legal problem.

You mention Perez Hilton, actually he has being sued tons of times and he settles most of the times but their are currently active multi-million dollar lawsuits pending against him. If you have access to Westlaw or Nexis do a search for Mario Lavandeira which is his real name.

Living in the US we are open to get sued at any time can these suits prosper is another thing.

There is nothing in the Online Casino Ban law that states a person can not be sponsored by an online casino especially when you take into consideration Poker is an international sport. The problem with online casinos is in the acceptance of bets from a US player. This is an ongoing legal issue and I will not even go there all I can tell you Stan until this shit is straighten out I will stay as far as fuck as I can from using casino affiliates. I have made good money from poker stuff from ClickBank though.

YouTube has a 250 million dollar lawsuit from Viacom http://www.news.com/8301-10784_3-9799983-7.html

Blogger TOS is really weak an open to exploit with mass blog generation Squidoo has no legal ground to prohibit anybody linking to there web site. They have not done much about it either because they make money too.

Stan my best advice to you. Stay as far as possible from anything that can be used by a Terrorist for any reasons let it be a proxy or something that can be used for money laundering like online casinos.

Second if you feel uncomfortable about something do not do it. Their are many ways of making money online with out going to jail.

And Stan at the end of the day their is always a first time. In other words Stan just because in a specific reason their has not being a lawsuit it does not mean their will not be one.

I hope my answer has helped in some way.

I'm interested also in the answers to this ESPECIALLY regarding the poker. I live in the state of Washington that has put me out of business playing online poker. Of course it is fine for me to drive 30 miles to the local Indian casino. They want me to do that because that is taxed.

Also, Merry Christmas to all the dumb fucks and dumb asses out there.
