People Some Times Amaze Me

Tonight was one of those nights that I thank the lord that I am alive and that some times not always but some times people amaze me. As I was sitting in front of my computer thinking of how I would feel if I as in the position that RT. I kept thinking what else could I do to get the word out. I really do not look much at my feed count since at the end of the day I really can not control that. But folks I will not lie tonight was the first time since I have been blogging that I really wished I had 15k feed readers.

Well folks I said you know what, I took a break and read the iZea post and read what Darren had wrote and asked myself is this guy was serious or is he full of shit. I mean if you read what he wrote you have to take it either as he knows that BU and BZ are making some noise and he is doing some damage control or 2 he cares and wants to set the record straight. I believe that people talk shit constantly but when you need them they are never there for you. I decided that maybe just maybe Darren actually really cared and maybe due to B5Media and the fact that his blogging business has grown so much he may have lost touch with the pulse of the little guy who is starting out. So I decided to see if Darren really cared and to my surprise he put some faith back in me into the human race. I shot an email to Darren pointing to RT’s post and asking him if he could take a look and do a quick post since time is important. Sure enough Darren answered quickly and in less then 5 minutes he had made a post at ProBlogger which instantly started driving traffic to RT’s blog. What a blessing.

I have to say just like this morning I am feeling very proud of the blogging community and feel now more then ever that I made the right decision by starting this blog in hopes to helping people and hopefully changing peoples life’s.

Now Darren and me are both knee deep in all our things and have not had the time to have a Skype call, but I tell you what I actually look forward to it now. I think Darren does care and I might influence him to take a stronger stance on paid links and the damage this can do to a blogger.

For now folks bless you all that have helped and please what ever faith you are make a prayer for RT’s wife and his family.

    Vic,

Having emailed Darren a few times myself about topics or questions, I always got a response back. Having talked to a couple of other bloggers that I respect greatly, I feel he is an honest and sincere man.

I hope that you find that out as well in your conversation with him, and just remember, not everyone is out to screw the little guy.

Anyways, I’m glad that he stepped up and is helping with this for RT.

Let’s all say some prayers for him and his family as well.

I’ve only had a few direct dealings with Darren, but he comes across as a genuinely nice bloke. Kudos to you both for using your influence to help RT.

It is situations like this where as human beings we all get refocused on what the purpose of our lives should be , that being to love one another as it was intended from he very start, I will add this quote I recently used that just seems to fit,
“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give”

Vic thank you for taking the time and effort to give,

I saw Darren’s post when it went up and thought, man - here’s a guy that gets called all sorts of names but when there’s a real problem he puts personal items aside and steps up. Nice move by both of you.

    - looking forward to more Niche work. Launching my local blog this weekend and just got the support (and link) from an already established but not very well setup local blogger.

Some times we need to focus on the facts that others have real problems vs one supposed problems.

    Hi Vic,

This was an excellent deed you initiated and I am re-educated about Darren Rowse since he is after all a decent bloke. :-) Glad you two are getting things sorted.

It actually felt great to help out both financially and with blogging about it and seeing so many others step in is just beyond amazing.

This is the true spirit of human kind and R.T. seems to be totally taken with all the support he is getting right now. Good on him and you and everybody else who steps in. :-)

I was very happy he did the right thing ;)

And to read that RT had the needed funds to me just filled me with joy.
