We love you, too, Vic and don't worry about made-up deadlines. We will all work really hard. We are ready to kick up some dust! I know I am! I appreciate everything you are doing to teach us to provide for our families and still have time to be with our families. Bless you, Vic.

    Vic,
WOW! Look at the opportunity that you have created for yourself to grow and learn. You now have knowledge that many of us may never know just because of this experience.

It may not feel like a blessing when you are in the middle of growth and sometimes it is painful, but you always come out better for it.

You are trying to teach us but in the mean time you have become the student.

    Be proud of your accomplishment.

    Hi Vic,

Thanks again for all the hard work you are doing to get this contest kick started. I just wanted to ping you really quick to let you know that I never received a response from you on my contest app. I emailed you immediately after the bloggerunleashed.tv session the other night as you requested. I don't mind waiting, I just want to make sure I will be able to participate. I'm really excited about the contest and I look forward to being an active participant.

    Thanks in advance!

Vic, I agree with Laughing Gaz man. There's really no need to keep apologizing.. Things happen for a reason. I can't speak for anyone else but I know I'd rather you take your time and get it together without being too stressed rather than rushing to meet some deadline and burn yourself completely out in the process.

We are all here to learn, we all understand this is a big sacrifice you are making to share your knowledge for free while taking time away from your own business to do so. I can wait for as long as it takes man and with you as the teacher we're all going to kick a@# once the contest gets going.

Just know that you are loved, admired and respected by a great many people!

    Hey Vic,

While killing time waiting around for this contest to start I'm doing a few little things like:
    Buying more domains
BMD like crazy (but not overkilling any account)
Fixing up Logos and Store pages
Creating blogs tied to Bans sites
    Commenting
    Directory Listing
    Article listing and writing
Blog post writing (trying your method for my .info index issue)
    helping others at BU.tv
    links links links everywhere

oh…and running my Bookstore…I think you get the idea. those of us using Bans have plenty of things to do, take your time and set it up the way you want it – we'll still be here, anxious to learn. Thanks for all the work!

Like the others are saying, Vic take your time and no apologies needed buddy. It is like many things in life: You know when you should start but don't know when it will end either. It's a bigger task than you expected.

You could even make the contest start Monday if you needed too. We all wait and not complain.

Btw, I did not received any email like GeradT but I know it will be done eventually.

Besides, we have BANS/blogs to keep us busy. ;)

Plus, this could be a series of post for you to do: How to start a blog contest: Pitfalls to avoid.

Some may want to do a similar "contest" to pay it forward with another group of newbies. :D

Like they said -looking forward to the comp but so busy with the BANS setup and promotion thing I am learning heaps anyway. And the BU channel is a fantastic tutorial room even when your're not there – Dave and vinny and lots of others are just so helpful with the stupid questions! But there're not as rude as you so come back when you have the time :-)

Thanks for the update – I didn't want to email your already overloaded inbox asking "when are we going to start – did I miss something??"

I was just listening to the last .tv video as I was doing my morning exercises (it was long). The conversation got real interesting – it was like standing at the water-cooler and not being able to participate. Fun way to start the morning – a big THANK YOU for all your efforts.

    Love you too Vic!

I know everyone says that you dont have to apologise for anything….which you dont, but while I always like to see you laugh and swear, it's nice to know you have a humble side too.

    Keep up the great work.

Hey Vic, thanks for the update on everything. I have a local niche website that I set up exactly like our contest blogs. I put an ad in my posts that shows adsense to search traffic and flycell to general traffic. I used to show 10 post on my homepage but now I can't because then I will have 10 adsense's on my homepage. SO now I only show 1 post per page but the downfall is my search engine ranking has taken a plunge. This may or may not be related, but I have a feeling that it might has something to do with it. On our contest blogs, are we going to have 1 post per page or more? and what do you suggest I do with my blog, 1 post per page, or 10 or 3 or what?

There are a few ways you could solve this issue.

You can change the number on your home page. Griz suggest 1 post per page on his blog I believe.

You can use a different template file for your home page and show post excepts. Then set up the home page to show ads in specific places.

There are a variety of plugins for wordpress that turn on and off ads based off different criteria. I'd check them out and play around with them.

As for search rankings taking a dive. It happens. When a site is new, it gets a bonus for being "fresh". Eventually this bonus fades and it falls back on the other factors that control rankings. The site will then take a dive in rankings. Also, some believe monetization of a site can affect rankings. Many online marketers suggests waiting a bit before putting ads up on a site.

And it could always be a sandbox effect. It just happens some times and there is nothing that can really be done.

I'd just ignore the stats for a bit and just link build. It'll take a while for Google to start counting links. It should go back up in rankings. If it was sandboxed, it may take a few months before it ranks properly.

If you link build for a while and see no results. Ignore it and move on to your next project if you can. Get it started and link build it. Hopefully by them you'll see some action on the first domain.

Hey Vic, I'm late to the party as usual LMAO
I just finished a big writing assignment that kept me away from everything including this place, so I just saw all this. For some weird reason I can't watch your vids all of a sudden – I crank them up and my system crashes. Always something ain't it?

I'm guessing from the comments that you're buried in shit so don't sweat the competition – hey if it can't be done for this year there is always another fucking year follows straight on after LMAO :-)

Anyway, I'm so behind with everything because of the writing gig that I have to catch up too. I only just got my reseller account set up and now that's going to take time moving 60+ sites each into their own account. I'm still buying more domains and building my link farm as well as getting those links FUN FUN FUN!!!

Catch you later when the storm dies down a bit… before the next one brews up hehehe)
